PLASA Focus 2011 – 19th & 20th
April 4th, 2011

Cooper Controls presents Zero 88 products and RDM seminar at UK show.

Cooper Controls will be presenting the latest developments in their Zero 88 entertainment lighting control range at PLASA Focus 2011.

New to the show this year is the ZerOS Android application - Zero 88’s latest addition to its suite of remote applications. Continuing their commitment to mobile device integration, this new app adds to their existing suite of iPhone, iPod, iPad and Windows Mobile applications. The ZerOS Remote Android app, the first for the entertainment technology industry, allows remote control of any ZerOS console. The app allows users to control their lighting rig from their Android for the first time. From channel levels to playback the ZerOS Remote offers full control of the Leap Frog 48, Leap Frog 96, Frog 2, ORB and ORB XF consoles.

Taking centre stage on the Cooper Controls stand is the ORB XF. Designed to sit alongside the existing ORB console, the ORB XF has been designed for professional users requiring hands on live control. ORB XF adds fader control for intensity channels and live submaster playback, making it ideal for control of live events. The ORB XF will be featuring the recently released Version 6.1 ZerOS software at PLASA Focus.

ORB XF features 60 multipurpose faders which can be utilised as channel controls, submasters or playbacks. A dual colour LED flash button under the fader indicates the current function of each fader. Combining theatrical syntax and an interactive hardware platform, ORB XF provides intuitive control of both generic dimmers and moving lights.

Cooper Controls is one of the leading lighting control manufacturers in terms of RDM implementation and continues to take an active part in the development of the RDM standard. Visitors to the Cooper Controls stand will be able to see how RDM works across their range and experience just how powerful this technology can be.

For those interested in RDM, Cooper Controls’ Product Manager Peter Kirkup will be hosting a session on RDM as part of the Education & Learning Seminars Programme. Running from 1.00 – 1.45pm on Tuesday 19th April, Peter’s session will provide an overview explaining the benefits of the new Remote Device Management standard and its implementation in everyday lighting equipment. Aimed specifically at people who have no knowledge of RDM, this seminar will start from the ground up, explaining why it’s “quicker than a man with a ladder”.
