25th Oct 2002 - The iLight Group has announced the acquisition of Durango SARL, the French subsidiary of Lighting Technology Group PLC.

The iLight Group has announced the acquisition of Durango SARL, the French subsidiary of Lighting Technology Group PLC.

“Durango, an existing distributor of the iLight architectural lighting control systems, is a logical acquisition for the iLight Group,” explains iLight Group managing director, Mike Prior.
“It enables iLight to get closer to a growing French market for the brand and to service our French customers more effectively. Durango will be setting up an iLight engineering facility at its Paris showroom, enabling them to provide a support facility based on iLight’s values of good customer service.”

Durango has built its reputation on being a highly efficient sales and marketing operation selling a variety of lighting products to the French marketplace and will continue to offer a broad range of lamps, lighting consoles and dimming equipment from a variety of manufacturers.
Over the years Jean Francois Cheron and Brigitte Delehaye have become well known within the industry for the service they provide and from that point of view it is to be business as usual. They are supported by Jean Francois Capoulade who has been specialising in the iLight product range.

As part of the continued growth they are now looking for a project engineer to help them manage the increasing business.

To promote the product range and give people a chance to meet the staff Durango will be attending ELEC 2002 (9th-13th December 2002) at Paris Nord Villepinte.
