ZERO 88 Lighting Launch Financial Award Scheme
26th Feb 2003 - New grant scheme launched for schools and amateur dramatics societies
Zero 88 Lighting are acutely aware of the continual cost constraints faced by schools and amateur dramatics and the difficulties involved when trying to fund the right equipment for their drama needs.
As part of our ongoing commitment to education and small theatrical establishments we have developed the Zero 88 Financial Award Scheme to help provide the best possible equipment for students and local amateur dramatics societies.
The Financial Award Scheme is a grant scheme redeemable against Zero 88 products, and is available to schools and amateur dramatics groups.
Twice a year we will be offering awards to the following categories, enabling UK organisations to claim 50% of the cost of their new lighting control equipment.
- Category One: Infants, Primary/Junior Schools
- Category Two: Amateur Dramatics Organisations
- Category Three: Secondary Schools & Colleges
“Schools and amateur organisations are always looking for sources of money and grant schemes to apply for, as government and school funding for performing arts is often inadequate for the size of the installation and the equipment they want”, comments Zero Financial Award Scheme creator, Grant Bales-Smith. “There are already several sources for an organisation to apply for money grants but very few specific to our industry. We hope our scheme will enable those at the lower end of the market to choose the lighting equipment they really need, rather than having to accept only what they can afford.”
