28th Feb 2001 - Zero 88 Products reach a wide variety of venues in South Africa

South African based Prosound PTY Ltd have recently installed top of the range Zero 88 desks in a number of entertainment venues.

The Monsoon Lagoon Revue Bar and the Hannover Street Night Club are now able to control both automated and generic lighting following the installation of a Sirius 250 desk. The Grandwest Casino, Cape Town, chose an Illusion 120 to light their Ice Rink.

Zero 88 lent their support to the projects through technical assistance and on site training provided by Tim Burt – Zero 88’s Product Manager.

Ian Blair, General Manager of Prosound PTY said “as South Africa has a price driven economy the consoles were chosen as they represent excellent quality at an affordable price”.

Prosound PTY have also supplied a number of Betapack dimmers to several venues. At the Momentum Theatre, Pretoria, eight Betapack 2 dimmers were rack mounted and at the Rhodes Theatre, Grahamstown, sixteen Betapack 2s were supplied for the dimming of the theatre lighting. The Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg chose ten Betapack 2s using them to control the 60 channels of house lighting.
The Museum at the Caesars Casino and Convention Centre, Johannesburg were supplied with a Level 6 controller and an analogue Betapack 2 to control the lighting in the audiutorium of the museum.
