27th Aug 2003 - Zero 88’s Illusion 500 chosen by Robin Snowden, LD.
Robin Snowdon, the LD for “The Madness of George Dubya” reports on the Illusion 500’s performance during the 21 week run at the Arts Theatre in Leicester Square.
Robin comments “The show opened for previews just 48 hours after we took receipt of the desk from Stage Electrics and started the fit up. Such limited production time is unusual in the West End but the Illusion coped admirably with plotting the 200+ cues. The show is a satire on the current situation in the Gulf and benefits from daily rewrites to keep it topical, for which the Illusion's quick edit facilities and flexible memory stack have proved invaluable. Having used Illusion consoles previously I am impressed with the scalability of the 500 whilst still maintaining a user friendly interface, and very much look forward to the moving light software release”
