11th Feb 2005 - New customer service centre for German gas & electricity supplier.
Zero 88 Chilli Pro dimmers have been installed in the major refurbishment of Gasanstalt Kaiserslautern AG’s customer service centre. The focus for the refurbishment was the consolidation of modern architecture, new visual media and an improved social working surrounding within the centre.
Completed through the close co-operation between architect Hartmut Cammisar and lighting designer Tobias Link of Scenario (www.scenerio.li), the result is a modern service centre, whose lighting reacts dynamically to different environmental influences.
A large touch screen in the shop window allows customers in the evening hours to learn about the performance of the company, see product shows, play interactive games or watch short films. Visitors are also able to change the complete room lighting with the touch screen.
More than 1500 DMX channels are used for the RGB Strips from Lagoled. Video projectors from NEC, Imager, Alien02, Cyclo04 and Mini Mac Maestro's from Martin are also used in the architectural design. The control is managed by a Media engine from E:CUE with all lights and sockets in the service centre powered by Chilli pro dimmers. The 52 channels of dimming were provided by 3 x Chilli pro 1210i, 3 x Chilli pro 410HF, 1 x Chilli pro 1216i plus various ChilliNet control panels installed throughout the building.
These panels allow co-workers to control the lighting from several places within the customer service centre. They also have the possibility to create their own individual lighting environment within their workspace.
The management of the 'Gasanstalt Kaiserslautern AG' are hoping for improved and closer customer relationships with this new, interactive style of communication.
Zero 88 distributor LMP Lichttechnik in Germany supplied all Chilli Pro dimmers and ChilliNet components.
