28th Oct 2005 - Flagship cruise liner chooses Bullfrog for onboard entertainment venue
LMP Lichttechnik, one of Zero 88’s German distributors has recently supplied and installed a Bullfrog console to cruise company Hapag-Lloyd flagship cruise liner Europa.
Delivered for service in September 1999 the Europa is regarded as one of the most spacious and luxurious ships on the seas. The liner has just 204 passenger suites which all face the sea and features extensive entertainment facilities for passengers to experience during their cruise.
Situated in the Europa lounge the Bullfrog is used for a wide range of passenger entertainment including theatre, jazz, variety and cabaret performances. The console controls 8 x ROBE Colourspot 250 AT’s, 8 x ROBE Colourwash 250 AT’s plus generic dimmer channels.
Bringing the power of moving light control to the operator makes the Bullfrog ideal for all the entertainment lighting applications in the liner. It’s ease of use allows even relatively inexperienced operators to create exciting light effects and shows. The Bullfrog can instantly generate unique lighting effects which may be output automatically or stepped through, with desired looks being recorded as required.
Franck Tiesing Zero 88 Northern European Market Manager explained “This has been an exciting project for us to be involved with as it is not a regular installation. From concept to planning and installation Studio 22, Showtrade and LMP Lichttechnik have worked tirelessly to ensure that the job was completed on schedule and the users were fully trained on the equipment.”
