17th Aug 2001 - Pre-PLASA news for Zero 88 dealers

With just three weeks to go until PLASA 2001 we are focussing our attention this month on what we have planned for the show. We have further information on the Frog family, specifically Bullfrog, details of new pricing and a schedule of activities being held during the exhibition.

Frog Family

As mentioned in last months update we will be launching Bullfrog at the show. We are supporting the launch of the desk with an advertising campaign starting in September – make sure you see our latest addition at PLASA!!!

Frogs and Fat Frogs

In response to customer demand we have introduced some new features to the current range of Frogs. From 10th September all Frogs and Fat Frogs will be shipped with connections for a monitor and a keyboard. Fat Frogs will also feature additional new software, which includes attribute palettes and selective recording.

To reflect these additional features, from the 10th September Frogs and Fat Frogs will be priced at £1550 and £1950 respectively.

For all Fat Frogs purchased before this date, software updates will be issued for free – this will be available for download off our website from 10th September.

To fit the monitor option to existing Frogs and Fat Frogs will cost £275.00 list.

Frog-Box

Zero 88 will be launching ‘Frog-Box’ at PLASA.

The ideal compliment to any Frog control desk, Frog-Box is a 19” rack mountable unit designed to play back a show recorded on any of the Frog family of consoles. Using the same LCD display and navigation buttons as a Frog console, set-up and operation of the Frog Box is very simple.

Extended interconnectivity makes the Frog-Box suitable for a wide range of applications. The rear panel provides outlets for 2 DMX universes, MIDI and SMPTE ports, an Ethernet connection, DMX in, keyboard, video and mouse connections.

The Frog-Box can be used as a back up to any standard Frog console, or it can be used as a stand-alone device at Trade Shows, in Retail applications, Displays etc.

Full product information on all the Frog products including promotional material, pricing and spec sheets will available at PLASA and on our website from 9th September.

Pricelist

A new pricelist will be issued at PLASA – effective from 10th September 2001. This price list will include all new products launched at the show and will reflect the new prices for Frog and Fat Frog. All other pricing has remained the same – there are no additional price increases.

In last months update we mentioned that a number of products have been retired. Therefore the following products will be removed from the price list

Salsa Party

We have now sent out invites for our Salsa Party at ‘Havana’, Fulham Road on Monday 10th September.

Thank you to those who have replied. If you haven’t faxed back your reply form yet, please do so ASAP to ensure your place! Don’t forget to keep hold of your tickets, as you will need them to get in!

Details of the venue and how to get there will be available from our stand at the show.

Other activities happening at the Show

On Sunday 9th September at 2.00pm we will be presenting our ‘Dealer of the Year’ awards. These awards are presented to those companies who have demonstrated their commitment and support to the Zero 88 brand over the last year. The awards will be presented on our stand, so make sure you are there!

Zero 88 have entered the Fat Frog for the PLASA Product Excellence Awards. The winners will be announced at 9.30am on Wednesday morning in the Technology Gallery on the 2nd floor of Earls Court.

In addition to the new frog products we also have several ‘hot’ new products on the stand. Make sure you take time to visit the stand to see the exiting new developments!!
