Vistors were then invited to meet the manufacturers to discuss products and have their specific questions answered.
Later on in the day Ian Knight of Central Theatre Supplies hosted a session on “Special effects”. He chose Zero 88’s Fat Frog to demonstrate the ease of generating effects with Martin Mac2000 and Mac300 fixtures.
The day was rounded off by a hands on lecture on “Sound from Scratch” by Ian Roberts, Head of Sound at Birmingham Rep.
Lorna Parsons and Keith Rogers represented Zero 88. “A lot of interest was generated by Zero 88’s Fat Frog and Chilli Dimmers and as well as Selecon's Pacific 600w Luminare, which is able to use plastic gobos. It was a worthwhile day and great to be able to show off our products to people who would not normally have access to them”, commented Lorna.
