FLXS Touch Screen Monitors

DALX

Recommended Posts

We have been using the Dell P2418HT touch screen monitor with the FLXS48 but there is no stock available in Australia for at least a few months. Is there an alternative? I have tried my HP Pavilion 23tm and the touch screen does not work, plus an acer that did not work.

Hi @DALX

Any touchscreen that works "plug & play" with Windows 10, and doesn't require any specific drivers, should work with ZerOS. Please see the link below for more information...

https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/desktops-windows/external-display/external-touchscreen

Some other users may be able to reply advising what they use.

I hope this helps. if you have any questions, please let us know.

I use the following:

https://www.beetronics.co.uk/c-touchscreens

Very handy and good screens , large angle of view, and work very fine. No drivers required.

I use it with a dvi to hdmi cable. no problems.

Screens are basically all the same except their diameter, and the material. (plastic or metal)

I discovered lately they are also sold without the beetronics brand, on some far-east websites. Exactly the same monitors. saves a few bucks , and may be easier to find for you.

https://iiyama.com/gl_en/products/prolite-t2453mts-b1/

Hi @delfine

I have taken a look at the Iiyama website, and there's nothing to suggest that this monitor wouldn't be compatible with ZerOS...

https://iiyama.com/gl_en/products/prolite-t2453mts-b1/

According to the driver information, it is "plug & play" with Windows 10, and so should work with ZerOS.

If you connect the touchscreen to a Windows PC, does the touchscreen function correctly?

During calibration, are you able to draw on the screen correctly?

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Bonjour Edward,

merci

Hi Delfine,

I have the "original" Iiyama touch screen which is "resistive". It is also very slow on my FLX.

Your screen is "optical" touch. It sounds like it is also very slow.

A screen like an iPad is "capacitive". I think these are the fastest. Maybe you should consider a capacitive touch screen?

I would like to, but the touch is too slow for anything except basic operations and it is not multi-touch.

However it is 17" (43cm) screen which suits my work position. The capacitive screens available are much larger (22", 56cm) and such a screen is too large to fit my workspace.

So for most touch operations I rely on the FLX internal touch screen.

At the time of purchase I too did not understand the different screen types.
