If I programme a chase (let's say on memory 4) can this be transfreed to a submaster? Also, can the gain on the submaster determine the speed of the chase, or does this get done by the speed knob? I've heard talk of transferring a chase memory to the submaster - how do I go about this? i can't make much sense of the manual! Thanks!

excellent, thanks! -
As above, is there already a fixture file like this? If not, how do I go about making it with the shutter closed ? Thanks

Please can we have a front mounted floppy drive, as absolute nightmare having to pull the whole desk out just to change the discs....

I want to get our colour scrollers to scroll continuously through 3 colours (all next to each other) and back again over about 6 seconds each way, then just keep repeating til I hit the next cue. I've tried but failed - long night and very tired :-(

Probably been asked before, but whay are these desks called the Frog range?
-
yes, thought it was gel number - just checking! i get whay you mean now with using the pipos! I'll try and get some pics of the final effect - thanks for your advice and help!

yes, I can see that working, and it does sound like it would be very effective! Thanks, i'll give it a try!

201 Front? Pictures look really good - however I also need to make the prison bars with gobos. I personally don't get on with gobos very well - I think they look too fake on things like this! Still, I suppose that's the only way....? Thanks for advice so far!

As the title suggests really. I have a small prison scene on a 12ft revolve - fancy doing something different to really make it look spot on. Any ideas / advice?

brilliant, thanks! I really must start reading the manuals!

I've got generic lights on submaster 1, and a mac chase set up on submaster 2. If i do each submaster separately, they both work fine, but if i put up the macs, then the generics, the macs stop the chase and go back to their pre-programmed state! Hard to explain but hopefully makes sense! :?

think i'll do that, thanks!

so does this mean using another submaster to close the shutter off? ie: Sub 1 - gets to 100% to start chase. Turn it to 0% - chase continues. When you want chase to finish, put sub 2 to 100% to close shutter (pre-programmed!) then return to 0% and shutter stays shut. Is that correct?

blimey! I think i'll use the Zero88 DMX DeBug - should work - only its not wireless!

I have transfered a chase of minimacs to a submaster, it comes on when the submaster gets to 100%, but wont go off when taken back to 0% What have aI done wrong!? Thanks in advance!

Is there a remote available for use during rigging - it's kind of difficult to trun on channels and focus when there is only one pair of hands. Noticed remote socket on the back of the desk.....?

Which software can be used in conjunction with the Fat Frog?

I need to make my macs operate in frog mode to the bass of music. I have plugged the music into the desk etc. but they still just sit there doing nothing?? Can somebody give me a step by step guide or sililar in how to set them up? Also can this be programmed onto a submaster so I can turn it on / off whenever it's needed? For example, submaster 1 has a general wash on the stage for presenting, then swap to submaster 2 when there is a dancing act, and the macs and generics go with the music - sorry just trying to work out the easiest way to do this as student here will be operating on the night and it's their first time! Thanks in advance

thanks for all of the ideas - i'll ry them all and see which I get on with best
-
Fair enough - that does make sense! Thanks anyway!
-
ok i'll give that a try and see what happens. Cheers

Ok, we have a 'Christmas Concert' coming up, which basically involves hundreds of students doing singing, dancing, comedy acts etc. a bit like pop idol... I'll be using about 50 generic lights, and various macs, smoke etc... Basically I want to know the best way to programme each act, for example when there is a dance, i hit the go button and the macs go mental, everything in time with the music etc. I'm not sure on the best way to approach it though... :?:

hmmm, good idea - i'd be happy to 'test one out' also. We have a big production coming up in February so i'd be happy to put it through it's paces! (I wish :-()
