Yes I mean a dimmer as we all know 'em from our livingroom walls and not a 12 channel DMX Dimmerpack or so... ;-) Is there anything I have to pay attention for, when buying a dimmer for such purposes in my local DIY Superstore?? (e.g. Capacity etc.?)
-
I know my Question is not related directly to Z88 Products, but prehaps anyone could help me on this. In our disco we have 2 x PAR64 Cans swiched on and off by a custom on the wall mounted switch like you know it from home...am i right when i'm thinking that it's possible to replace it by a custom dimmer without any problems to adjust brightness of them??? Thank you :-)

Prehaps like "von null auf hundert" ?!

I didn't got it...what's the 88 for? Zero is clear, the company started in 1972 with nothing...but... ...to start from 88...is that something colloquial or am I just dense???

Primary Fixture gets lost in Group Palette after reboot
Morn replied to Morn's topic in Frog Range MK1
I programmed some groups including primary fixtures (indicated as P on the Group Pallette Screen) then I switched desk off and back on again and some of the Ps were lost (not all!)...the groups itself remained, only some of the Ps were replaced by Xes. Maybe it doesn't happen at every reboot...I noticed it only twice, but I used the group pallette not very often in past. Just got started with it 2 weeks ago.:-) I think the Group Pallette should behave exactly like Colour/Beamshape and Position Palettes. -
The problem is, that the beamshape pallette is full of different Gobos/FX combination and some control commands... 24 Pallette Memorys are not enough for 32 combinations plus shutter stuff plus control commands...that's why I tried to use the subs with saving nothing but beamshape attributes. But there you have the other limitation...

What does the name Zero88 mean and where does it come from???
-
I have programmed myself a bunch of submasters with only beamshape attribute of all my scanners. It's for simply switching on extensive or not so extensive strobing with the scanners without losing neither current moving effect nor colour. Then I programmed another submaster with position and beamshape data of 2 scanners. Both move to a mirrorball and close Iris a bit, so that the light hits only the ball and not the people behind/beneath it. *gg* The other scanners are not affected by this. This works fine exept of one thing. When I trigger my shutter submaster, those "mirrorball" scanners begin to strobe, too. Sometimes it's okay, but sometime i'd like to leave them as they are, pointing at the ball doing nothing. So is there any possibility to select which scanners are affected by a triggering from the submaster exept tagging/saving it to the submaster?

Of course Zero88 will do the right thing for our Froggies. It was just an idea..., 'cause it would be no problem pressing both keys with only one finger. *gg*

It is still possible to program or delete something to/from the palettes (G/C/B/P) when the desk is locked via Lock Button. Shouldn't be all editing functionalities disabled?
-
I programmed some fixture groups via F4 to the Group Palette on my Fat Frog. After switching it off and back on again, groups were still there, but the primary fixture selection is lost... Phantom Frog doesn't seem to have this problem.
-
Maybe pressing F3/F4 button could activate Group functionality then.....until these key combination is need by an other useful function.

HA!!! I knew that my suggestion regarding Desk Setup Menu could be useful one day ;-P (just kidding*g*) P.S.: I think here is missing a smiley which sticks his tongue out. *hehe*

Hmmm...yeah...that's what I'm afraid of a bit....what will happen then with the Fat Frogs Group function...I can't imagine, that an additional Group button on the Fat Frog will be part of the next update.
-
I'm not sure where to post it...so I'll put it in here... Which function has the F4 button on the other desks than Fat Frog :?: None I suppose :?:

Hi, this is just for the protocol, it's nothing what bothers working with the Phantom Frog, but their are some graphic errors in it. First of all the LCD Windows doesn't fit into the desk graphics (except for Fat Frog). Indeed it seems to me that all desks have a little greater dimension compared to the Fat Frog (look at the Presetfader size for example). The submaster page display has a black boarder on Fat Frog while on the others it's grey (and much less readable). Then there are missing those dithering points at the Fat Frog, which are all over the other desks. In addition to this the graphic above the SX Button field (where the SX Button headline is) is somehow corrupted. Then I noticed, that the LEDs in the Fixture Select Buttons are in wrong order. On my Fat Frog the yellow assigning LEDs are left and the red selection LEDs are right. On Phantom Frog it's vice versa.

But you were...Making sentences like: "I don't want to be an ass about it, but..." means that after this always come a "but I am" :? But let's forget about it, and better have some fun here

Hey man... So how could I know that the damn Pan/Tilt stuff is messing around with me...before the update everything worked as it should...and the release notes just said that pan/tilt swapping was fixed. Nothing about a nessesary reconfiguring because of that!!! And nowhere in the Manual is written down, that the damn f***ing show stops when I'm entering Desk Setup. You know, I think this forums aim is it to make the Frog Desks better and so I post everything, what seems strange to me or may be a bug to this forum. What of this stuff, or of the stuff posted by other users is useless is neither your or mine decision. It's Zero88s. And I trust in them, that they'll make the right decisions, what's important, usesless, easy or fast to implement or whats ever. I'm just posting what in my opinion went wrong with the desk. Maybe this could prevent others from running in the same situation as me, by update or by just simple read about it...and maybe all those little or big improvements could change the mind of my colegues who all are wishing back our old Scan and Lightcommander and say that the Fat Frog is the biggest crap ever build for controlling lamps.

The problem is that I didn't had the chance to enter our beloved club before it really opened. First thing I did was upgrading software (usually guests don't come precisely at 22:00 *gg*) so it doesn't matter when lighting system does not work for a while at the beginning. Then around 23:30 or so when I striked the fixtures first, I noticed that pan/tilt of our scanners didn't work right. So I said to myself:..."Must have something to do with the update; you read something about pan/tilt swapping in the release notes. Let's go to the desk setup and fix it quickly." And schwupp...everything froze...crying, sighing, LJ sad... And to prevent beeing sad again someday I'm asking for this ;-) P.S.: Next thing, which is even worser, was that I noticed that my Frog Run scores were gone after upgrade....but that's an other topic.....
-
No chance to patch it so that the show only stops when setup data is saved to the desk and the "break" is short as possible?
-
Hey, that's great...in my opinion the best solution...Thank you
-
WHAT???? Oh My God... Send me one of them for my Fat Froggie ;-)

What happens, when you just select 4 fixtures in fan middle mode...which one will be the static one? And what happens when you have assigned (or just selected) fixtures to buttons 1-4 and 7-10 and leave 5 and 6 blank. Will they be considered while the fan values are calculated or are they out of the race? Has anyone found a convenient range of application for the fan modes at color attributes?

Is there a powerswitch on the Frog 2 or on the powersupply?
