Now, the dmx ports are dead, passed away, buried, the late exhausts, parrots. (75176??? unbelievable) This is the third failure in one year. It's not the design, but apparently the reliability. The S24 is now performing impeccable on the system.

Which piece of equipment has failed? None of the Frog series desks use the 75176 RS485 Transceiver :?

The SN75176 is a very reliable circuit. The used circuit for the frog proved not so: they're dead. Somehow they've passed away when the desk was not powered, and neither the dimmers, nor anything else. The weather was fine, by the way.

There's not so much time here when preparing a performance, hence the desk-swapping.

Because the desk has failed three times now (for different reasons) within a year, it might be worth a bug report. Sic.
