Short circuit in Chilli 24-16pro???

Hello,

 

last week we got our new Chilli 24-16pro but now after all wires have been connected we have a problem with the DMX control.

 

If we attach our Zero88 Frog Desk to the dimmer the dimmer always says "NO DATA". Now we found out by measuring that each time the display with the keypad is attached we have a short curcuit at the DMX connection bracket, that means that the ground (0V) cable hast contact with DATA + as well as with DATA - ! If we detach the keypad everything is ok; there are about 120ohms between DATA - and DATA + and NO CONNECTION to 0V/ground.

 

do we have an error in our keypad or is it ok which would mean that the error why we don't get any DMX signals is something different?

Wichtigste Frage vorab, wo habt Ihr den Dimmer gekauft? Habt Ihr den Händler schon kontaktet, um diese Fragen zu klären? Welche Seriennummer und Software-Version hat der Dimmer?

 

NO DATA - zeigt immer an, dass kein DMX Signal anliegt. Also kommt wirklich etwas an? Habt Ihr das schon mit einem DMX-Tester geprüft?

 

Das User Interface sollte auch nicht abgezogen werden, da ohne dieses keine Funktion möglich ist. Die Benutzer-Software befindet sich in diesem Teil.

 

Könnte es sein, dass der DMX-Endwiderstand aktiv ist? Das könnte die 120 Ohm zwischen DATA - und + erklären. 3-facher DIP-Schalter unter dem Bedienelement. Schalter 3: Endwiderstand aktiv – Schalter rechts, Endwiderstand inaktiv – Schalter links
