Chauvet Colorpalette

Recommended Posts

We have just added 6 Chauvet Colorpalettes.

2 issues:

1. We have used fixture tools to build the user fixture, but there are some functions that aren't working like many of our other fixtures. When we go to load the fixture to adjust settings, we don't have intensity control where most fixtures do (i.e. - after selecting Group>fixture> there is usually an "intensity" section under position. We want that with these fixtures as well.

2. When we load the fixture and then assign it to a udf, the intensity appears to be reversed - fader all the way up is "0" and fader down is 100% - we would like this the other way around.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Here is the DMX Channel Summary (27 channel mode) from the Chauvet Manual.

What you've missed is the Virtual Channel capabilities of the library. You need to create an additional "Virtual" channel which is classified as Brightness and has "Virtual" ticked. Then on each of the Red, Green and Blue channels tick the "Scale by Virtual Intensity" option.

I have taken the liberty of creating 3 fixtures for you:

-ColourPalette 6 - this is 6 channel mode, in one fixture

-ColourPalette M - this is the "master" channels (1,2,3)

-ColourPalette C - this is each "cell"

To patch the fixture in 9, 15 or 27 channel mode, patch first a ColourPalette "M" then follow that by the appropriate quantity of "C" (eg for 15 channel mode, patch 1 Master and 4 Cells)

This allows you to use the Auto Palettes, Fan Functions and Offset functions in Effects across the LEDs - it is, of course, possible to create one big fixture, but this wouldn't work with those functions.

I hope this helps - if you require any further assistance, please don't hesitate to let us know.
