programing help

Recommended Posts

first off i'll admit that i'm a total noob at the fat frog. I'm sorry-

Here's my problem-

I'm running a small rig with the fat frog. (20 source fours and 3 mac 2k's) I need to program a basic on look for the source fours (that i know how to do) and a "looping" cue for the macs. And that is the problem. The look is very simple, each 2k will project the company logo that will move slowly around the room, all day. Any help for this poor noob before i slam my head onto the console on show day?

Hi zippy

Try using the moving light effects for the Mac 2ks - press POSITION multiple times to cycle through to the effects controls (Effect, Size X, Size Y, Rotation, Offset and Speed) - these controls get treated like normal moving light parameters and therefore you can record a single cue which causes the movement to run.

The other option is to use a CHASE - hold down the MEM TYPE button until CHASE lights, then program each step - you'd want to set the Source 4s the same in each step, but only adjust the 2ks. You can then preview the chase by arrowing down away from the <Step> field on the LCD and using the SPEED control to adjust the speed of the chase as required.

I hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Kind Regards,

Peter Kirkup
