Using Jester for the first time

Hi,

 

Our school has just had an improved lighting setup and we went for a Jester 12/24 to go with it. Now after trying out the PhantomJester first, I must be missing some initial setting as when I use our live board I get different results!

 

In Preset mode I would expect channel 1 to fade up dmx dimmer channel 1 and when in flash mode I would expect the channel to flash. The PhantomJester does this fine. However the channels on our real Jester board will stay on and not fade out when faded out or flash via the flash button. If the first 12 channels are faded up or the flash button are pressed, all stage lights will stay on until turned off with the Grand Master or blackout. I have upgraded the software and was just wondering if there is a setup I am missing to get started?

That does sound odd. Can you check that your desk is set to "A Faders B Stored" and that the two masters (A and are at the top?

 

Also, do you have SHIFT held down, or is the LED in the PAGE A flashing?

I managed to sort it today with the help of technical support. The problem lay with the DMX connections. All sorted now.
