  1. Thanks keredyelesob that worked perfectly.
  2. Thanks for such a quick response and especialy to keredyelesob for creating a Fixture file. Any files I have created in the first few weeks of life with an FLX I will share with the forum/zero88 once I'm sure they all work correctly.
  3. I am setting up some Kam Powerbars to provide back drop colour washes. Powerbars are 4 flat par can units, each par can containing RGB LED's . The fixture profile (a modified Parbar profile) contains 12 colour parameters (4 x red 4 X green 4 x blue) each assigned to a wheel on the FLX therefore to record the various colour washes it requires 12 wheel adjustments for each wash. I thought I might be able to speed this up by recording some colour palettes. I set the 4 flat par cans to full Red pressed "record" and then "c2 Red" on the Palettes touch screen.A warning dialog box then popped up to say the palette was already programed did I want to overwrite it. What would happen to other fixtures that used "c2Red" Palette button to set them to display Red if I overwrote this? or probably a better question is how can I speed up the programing? Chris
  4. Hi Folks Just to add to the above. As I have become more used to the FLX and creating fixtures I went back to the Kam Power Glide issue that started this topic, I found that when I entered all the data for each of the 8 RBGW leds the FLX created pallets for each colour when the small centre button on the wheel is pressed. (however that did involve entering 128 colour names and 128 end values when creating the fixture) which brings me back to why I posted my original question asking if I could copy data as it would have only involved 16 names and 16 end points.
  5. That's great thanks for getting back to me. I will put that to Zero88 as a future enhancement. I will have a go at creating 9 fixtures per unit! I'm working with Phantom on a laptop for the next few days and still have to set up a visualizer so once i'm back home I will let you know how I get on.
  6. Hi Folks, I'm just getting my head round my new FLX after a few years on an old 48 channel console so its a steep learing curve. I have used some of fixtures from the FLX database, written two of my own for RGB LED fixtures to learn the basics of that for myself. We are busking small music shows and one of our big bang for your buck fixtures is the Kam Powerglide. Zero88 created a fixture for us the fixture has 8 controllable LED's on two moving bars. Zero88 created LED1 with colour "details" which then creates palettes on the FLX, the other 7 LED's do not have the additional data entered when the fixture was created . The wheel has to be used to change colours. My question is can I copy the data in the fixture creator from colour 1 to the other 7 colours so they can all use the pallet? or am I doing something wrong? I have attached the ift if it helps Thanks PowerGlide.ift
  7. Just for info - the file you want to load should be in the root directory of the USB stick. I had them in a folder to start with and they were not visible on the FLX screen.
  8. Cheers Keredyelesod, I have had a look at the Solution and FLX and I agree the Solution does look like a good option. Thanks for your help
  9. Hi guys, I have just joined the forum today. I volunteer with a small festival who also run other small events. I have no professional background but can carry out basic DMX programing. I have been using a cheap 48 channel Chinese made desk with the ability to record and run chases but little else. To date we use 8 traditional Par cans with dmx controlled dimmers, 14 fixed led par cans , 1 dmx controlled follow spot and a few pin spots. This year we bought our first moving heads and the limitations of our desk became clear. we are looking to purchase a new desk which should have the following attributes 1. ability to add up more moving heads maybe 8-10 more 2. We train up local youngsters in the use of the desk so it must be (relatively) simple to operate I think the Jester ML24 might be a good option. What do you guys think? I have read the tech spec but what are the real world pros and cons of the ML range? what is Zero 88's support like? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks Chris
