  1. Thanks Archie It took a bit of experimenting, trial and error and then a while inputting all of the details but I was able to get it all working. The fixture is showing up Red in the Fixture Schedule - which I assume is because it's a non-library fixture The only very minor gripe I had was the Fixture Editor only let me have parameter names with a max of 7 characters, so I had to shorten the parameter names - but not actually a big deal. I didn't end up needing to - but is there a way to like, export an existing fixture from the desk to then edit in the Fixture Editor? I tried to do something like that, but since the desk exports as .zfix files and the Editor only uses .ift I'm guessing you can't edit an existing fixture, so you'd have to create a new one from scratch, which is what I did
  2. For context, we have these lights (AVE Pro-Can HEB12) that, as far as I can tell, are discontinued and also the manual for it just doesn't seem to exist. It also doesn't appear in any exisiting lighting fixture libraries as from what I've seen. I was able to figure out how to make a custom fixture, and even using the filter setting to find an existing one that's similar enough to it, so no problems there It has a Colour Mix/Macro Select for the last 2 channels on it's 10 Channel mode - and when you click on the parameter for lights for these it takes you to another window with with all the options for that Macro For example, for the BeamZ BBP96 (the closest similar light I found), on the 9th channel it has Colour Mix Macro Select, with a bunch of options like Colour Auto Run, Colour Gradient, Sound, Strobes etc. The lights we have have a similar selection of Macro options, but not quite the same. But as far as I can tell, you can't seem to be able to edit/create the options for these. Is there some way to do this that I just haven't found? Either for making a new fixture or editing an existing one.
  3. Maybe there is a better way of doing this - but I'm setting up a show with Audio/Light cues that sync up - and found Multiplay to be a great tool. I've been able to get it to work no problem so far - but I was wondering if there's an OSC command that like, essentially just clears all current lighting/playbacks. We have a bunch of random colour playbacks set up at the moment, and a handful of other cue stacks for some old shows. I've occasionally run into issues where something I'm doing on OSC/Multiplay can be interferred if there's any pre-existing playbacks that happen to already be running. I know there's the option to clear all Playbacks by holding Clear and then tapping the Channels/Playbacks button, but I was wondering if there's a Trigger command that does the same thing. There's the Blackout one, but that just dims without clearing/releasing. There's also the Release command - but that only does a specific Playback or the current Playback. Best thing I could think of was just running like, 96 commands to manually clear every single Playback - but that seemed like overkill and a hassle.
  4. I was able to figure out a solution for this using Macros On my 'Rainbow Fader', i've included an extra step that Triggers a seperate Playback and then auto moving to the next step - in this instance it's triggering a playback that sets up the Rainbow Effect, at the desired Speed (around 15), but 0 Size (and ignoring colour/intensity) Then, Step 2 of the 'Rainbow Fader' goes to a playback that also has a Rainbow Effect, but at the same speed (15 again), with 100 Size. Then I also set it to have the Fader control the Effect. So - when I slide the Rainbow Fader up, it auto triggers a seperate playback that sets up an "empty" Rainbow Effect at a particular speed - and then sliding the Rainbow Fader up/down only controls the Size of the effect instead of also moving the Speed. It does mean that without manually releasing it, that the seperate Playback is kinda just, always on until told otherwise - but that's pretty manageable.
  5. Hey, I've been trying to solve this problem for a while - I've checked as many different forums posts as I could find to no avail. I'm using an FLX S48 console, with a bunch of different Tungsten and LED lights for a venue I work at. The end result I'm hoping for is a playback fader that can fade a rainbow colour effect in and out over the top of various other colours. For instance, I'll have a Blue wash on stage, and I want to fade that into a blue tinted rainbow effect, and then keep the moving colour effect but change the tint to red or green or whatever colour. I've tried a bunch of different methods with mixed results, but finally managed to get something close to what I wanted. I have some Playbacks with various colours - and then what I've been calling my Rainbow Fader. On this fader I've saved every LED with a Rainbow Effect at the speed/offset I want, but not recording the intensity; and with the colour values set to 0/ignored instead of the default 127. I've also set the fader to control Effect. Now, when I have the Rainbow Fader up, then fade in another colour like blue on a different playback, it fades into a nice blue-ish rainbow effect. Very nice, was what I was hoping for. The slight problem is doing it the other way around. If I have the colour up already and fade in the Rainbow Fader, it does indeed fade into the effect - but it also fades in the recorded Effect Speed, meaning if I fade it up fast, the colours rapidly shift around all over the place as it alters the effect speed really fast until it reached the recorded value. I've sort of been able to work around this by putting in a Raise/Lower time of like, 5 seconds. It helps smooth the effect speed transition, but is a bit limiting. What I was hoping for was to be able to control the Effect Size on the fader, but keep the Effect Speed the same the whole time. I've tried using stuff like the Speed Override, but either I'm not doing it correctly or it doesn't seem to work. I thought it would work like controlling the individual colour values on playback faders - where you can select/de-select the RGB values before recording, just with the Effect Parameters instead (Intensity, Speed, Size, Offset) I can also imagine other scenarios where this could be useful - maybe you have a moving head effect where you want the size to stay consistent - but be able to control the speed on a fader. Or maybe you want the speed/size to stay the same and control the offset on a fader. Would anyone know if there's a way of achieving something like the effect I'm hoping for, or perhaps a way of doing something like I described? Any helps would be appreciated. Thanks
