  1. Yes, this is a bug: Frog Reference 5589 - SXMaster Solo is not disabled when SX buttons are being used for palette/group selection.
  2. Using the wheels would not be the preferred method, since it wouldn't work on a Frog desk. The PREVIEW button is available on all desks. Edit: This function is now available in release 10.9 software.
  3. Have you tried the fixture outputs screen? Hold down F1 and press a fixture selection button. That will show you the grid view that you're looking for. Palette numbers are displayed Pxx rather than the name, because there wouldn't be room on all the screens for the palette names, since they can potentially be up to 18 characters long (if I remember correctly).
  4. There is a link to 10.4 in the Software Release Announcement.
  5. If you're not using the submasters, you can just program each of them with a single channel, so that you have access to 25-48 in Run Mode without needing to page the top bank. If you are using the submasters, then there aren't any faders available for 25-48. You could though connect another desk to the DMX-IN, and this would be mixed HTP to give you control of the other channels.
  6. You can't copy a block of memories I'm afraid, you have to do them one at a time. The Jumps are absolute not relative, so you'll have to change them one at a time when you've copied the memories.
  7. This has been logged as a suggestion for a future software version: JES-1438 - Reducing channel output levels in Run Mode.
  8. This has been logged as a suggestion for a future software update: JES-546 - Spanish Help Text.
  9. This has been logged as a suggestion for a future software release - JES-552.
  10. Those fixed already: Leading zeroes when entering numeric values - fixed in version 1.5. Naming & pressing a different letter - fixed in version 1.6. Pressing GO mid-fade JES-531 - fixed in version 2.1. Reference numbers for the others: JES-515 - Numeric entry of fade times. JES-529 - USB Keyboard support. JES-530 - Ability to record auxiliaries. JES-516 - Auxiliary faders to pick-up levels. JES-511 - 'Try Cue' option in Program Mode (instead of immediate snap to selection on outputs). JES-746 - When changing from Run Mode to Program Mode, select the Current Memory rather than the Selected (Next) Memory. JES-1438 - Reducing channel output levels in Run Mode.
  11. JES-532 - This has now been fixed in version 2.1.
  12. Jester Operating Software version 2.1 has been released, and is available for download from the Zero 88 support website. CLICK HERE. This contains the following changes from version 2.0: [JES-531] - RUN MODE - Pressing Go mid-fade no longer snaps to the end of the current crossfade before starting the new crossfade - it now fades from the current memory stack outputs. [JES-532] - PRESET MODE - If Preset A faders are used for live Auxiliary control, they need to be moved back to their previous positions before they regain control of the Presets. The LED in the Preset flash button will flash to indicate that the corresponding fader needs to be moved before control is regained. [JES-545] - RUN MODE - After adjusting a single Submaster Chase or Memory Stack Chase using Shift and the Speed Control, on releasing Shift, other chases no longer snap to the new speed. Instructions for performing the update are also available from the link above.
  13. This usually means the file on the floppy disk is corrupt. Try using a new floppy disk, and format it in the desk first.
  14. Hi Dave, You're not alone in disliking the tracking in 10.8. We already have the following logged: Frog Reference 5586 - Option to disable tracking from Memory Zero. In the next release of the Frog Series software when we implement this, it will probably be a 3-way option in SuperUser: - Tracking Off - Tracking On - Tracking On from Memory Zero Can't give you a date I'm afraid, it's up to our sales team on how they prioritise development effort... Paul.

The Jester has a single DMX output socket. If the dimmers are DMX, then they should have an INPUT and a LOOP-THROUGH socket, to allow multiple dimmers to be daisy-chained together. Sometimes with installation dimmers (such as the Chillis), there is only one DMX terminal block, so you have to connect the input and the loop-through to the same terminals. If the dimmers are analogue, then you will need a Demux24 or similar unit to convert the digital DMX signal from the Jester into an analogue signal for the dimmers.

What Dimmer Packs are you using? Do they have DMX Input, or Analogue Input?

    Info on Chilli's

If you look in the Issue 7 manual (download HERE), at the top of the Introduction page (page numbered 1-1, or 5th page in the pdf file), there's a table showing what versions are available.
  20. Hi Michael, Can you plug a monitor screen in to the desk and let us know what it's displaying during the slow startup? It's also worth checking that no-ones left a floppy disk in the disk drive. Thanks, Paul.
  21. There wouldn't be a lot of point having a lock code if any anonymous person could just call us up and get the master unlock code for a desk now would there...
  22. Each desk has a master unlock code based on the desk's serial number, which we can give you if you call the office. Be prepared though to have your authority and identity challenged, since we have to be sure we're speaking to someone who has good reason to need the unlock code, not just one of those "prying kids"...
  23. It mixes HTP, whichever level (from the Analogue, DMX or front panel faders) is the highest is the one that wins.
