  1. So is this no longer being treated as a bug? I can work around the problem as this work around was pointed out by MikeB, although I find it a lot easier to just use the outdated version of Zeros as I often forget to un-tag or disable smart tag. I was just wondering when we would see the fix. if it is not getting fixed i know not to bother upgrading.

I don't suppose if you know if this is a problem with the Orb desks as I was looking at also stocking these in the new year?

  2. Hi the version is 7.7

I rolled the version back months ago because V7.8 had problems when storing pre-setts (it tagged all parameters in all types of pre sets) . Also I am not keen of the order the clear button works now. I prefer the old order (memory then fixture) it would be good if this can be put in as a user option within the desk setup screens. although this is a different subject and I have already posted it into another thread Note. that has not been responded to. http://zero88.com/forum/topic/6850-zeros-7812/

If you would like my blank show file please let me know and i will replicate it again.

    Many thanks

  3. Recently my desk has started ignoring dimmers associated with preset sliders 14,16 and 33. If i select them and use the wheels the dimmers respond. The output window also relects this behaviour. If i go to clear options and reset the desk all works again, but when i power the desk down and turn back on the same behaviour happens. The event window shows that the sliders are working fine. Any advice?

  4. it sounds like you have changed your display from % to DMX value. (% shows 0-100 and DMX will show the actual value being out put 0-255) to toggle this setting press the 'special' key to change the MFK keys to the special function, now press MFK key 10 (this is the right most key second row down, it will display either DMX, percent, details(dmx) or details (%) ) then select percent. this will return the values back to show values in percent format (0-100). hope this helps.

  5. I was told last year that the android remote was still in development to actually make it work,

if you can speed this process up I would be really great full. it is one of the things that lets ZERO88 down as its is full of problems but nothing has been done to rectify them,

    bad form ZERO88.

  6. Hi iank99 what you say makes sense, but if you where changing the patching for another venue wouldn't you edit the fixtures? By clearing the fixture information you are essentially removing the fixture from the desk, so why would the fixture MFK group still show there is a fixture that can not be interacted with by the desk (as it doesn't exist)?

I am only talking about the fixture MFKs not the other functions that the MSKs serve eg Macros.

this behaviour appears to have been introduced in newer versions of Zeros, this is what makes me think it may be a bug. I can live with it by clearing the patch and then editing the fixtures to remove them from the MFKs. just seems a little odd.

  7. Hi bullocmg I have just noticed the position pallet records colour as well, I see from your edit that you where told that pallets are recording all attributes , is this a bug that will be fixed in the next release, it is not a new feature?

  8. Hi, I have noticed since updating my desk to V7.8 the position pallets have now started recording the P/T speed and intensity with the pallet, I am sure this never used to be the case as it is quite annoying having the intensity of my movers change when I just want to reposition the fixtures onto a new area of the stage. Currently I am having to untag the intensity and the P/T speed to stop the pallets recording the parameter (that is if a remember to untag them) can the next release include an option to stop the position pallets tagging the intensity like it used to be please.

  9. I upgraded to 7.8 some time ago and this still seems to be a problem? I have tried on my desk and on phantom Zeros both require you to either remove the fixtures individually through the edit fixture option or you have to do a full desk reset. why doesn't the clear patch option remove the fixtures from the MFK as the fixture is not patched to anything there for is not there?

  10. Hi I have tried this on my desk and also of the phantom software.

If I try to clear my patch setup it does not clear the MFKs although it does clear the patching. i have tried all of the clear options in case it was retaining information from one of the other setups for example the memories may have been using the fixture. the only clear option that works is to opt for a full desk rest, but this is a pain as i then have to enter in all of my memories setup and sub master setup. is this a bug with the OS? I am running V7.7

    Many thanks

  11. The function your release notes described below doen't appear to work on my desk running V7.7, was it removed, or am I missing something?

I can only copy the values stored in the cue and not the values passed on from previous cues.

    Photo Copy

It is now possible to Copy (and Move) using Smart Tag and Cue Only. By doing this, cues are copied at their relative outputs, rather than their programmed values.

If SmartTag is enabled when a Copy or Move command is initiated, the copied/moved cues will output the same as if they were in their original position in the stack (PhotoCopy).

If CueOnly is enabled when a Copy or Move command is initiated, cues after the copied cue (and after the original position of moved cues) will output the same as before the copy/move.

    my example

    this is in tracking mode.

    Cue1 - Dimmer1 = 100%

    Cue2 - Dimmer2 = 100% (so now dimmer 1 and 2 are 100%)

    Cue3 - all Dimmers = 0%

If I copy cue2 to create Cue4 I only ever get dimmer 2 at 100%, with this new functionality I would expect dimmer 1 and 2 to 100% as that is the scene.

    any ideas.

    Thanks

    Derek

  12. Hi Jon

Thanks for your reply. I have used the 'DMX in' method in the past with success, the problem with this show is we are using all 48 channels and more so thought I would try using macros. I have found a bit of a work around by loading the show up on the phantom zeros (solution XL) then recording the macros and then saving the show and loading up on my desk.

Would it be something to consider to have the macro record what page the sub masters are in when pressing the flash button, this would be a little safer as you don't run the risk of having the desk on the wrong page.

    Thanks again

    Derek
