DMX in problem

I found it difficult to synchronize the signal DMX IN. With some light desk is recognized as soon as you insert the connector, with other not detect any signals. Restarting the console is sometimes recognized but may miss at work. You can do something to make the DMX IN compatible with all light desk?. Or the external signal dmx must have specific characteristics.

Can you confirm which desks you're having problems with? Does the desk show the DMX in the DMX Window, DMX-In tab? Have you tried using a different cable?

Hello Peter,

I make a practical example:

with a console type "SGM Studio 12" the signal is recognized as soon as I enter the connector, with other type "Showtec", "Behringer", or "Martin Proscenium DMX" the signal is not recognized or accepted rarely.

Hello, I tried also with a desk Zero88 Elara, but is not detected on the signal Dmx-In With other desks sometimes is detected but it is very unstable and sometimes freezes the Frog2.

Hi Piero,

 

Which version of the Elara are you using, Mk1 or Mk2? Colour of the front panel is the easy way to check, Mk1 is grey, Mk2 is Green.
