Is It possible to connect Keyboard to the Jester R1

 

I am the lighting technician at my school and the teachers want me name all the Memories and Submasters.

I am really hoping that it is possible to connect a keyboard somehow through the means of midi or usb.

I dont have the budget to buy a Jester R2 or an update.

This is not possible without upgrading to the new hardware. However, you can still name memories and submasters.

 

On Jester MLs, the fixture buttons / LCDs come up with abc, def, ghi etc and you can use these like you would text on a mobile phone. With the non-ML Jesters, the bottom row of flash buttons do the same job and a pop up on screen shows you exactly what each button does.

You might want to think about loading your show file into Phantom Jester on your PC, adding the names using your PC keyboard, then saving the file and loading it back on to your Jester. This does speed things up quite a bit.
