Pallets on channel faders?

I am wondering if it is possible to store your colour/gobo/position pallets under a channel fader?

You can record palettes and recall them on the Multi-Functional Keys or via a Touch Screen, but not via the channel faders.

 

How would you envision this working?

Well. Now you press color beamshape etc. before you change the color you know the routine ...

 

My idea was you program one of the dimmer's flash buttons with a color or gobo. And you can Use them directly. So you don't have to press the MFK 'color' or 'beamshape' to change it.
