JB97 Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Hi, I recently used a fat frog desk and found the sound input very useful when I ran chases, it meant I could sit back and let our sound technician have some fun. I'm just wondering if the jester has a similar thing to be used, as I work frequently with one and don't want to have to run chases manually in time with music. Thanks, James
Jon Hole Posted August 26, 2015 Report Posted August 26, 2015 Hi James, Yes - the Jester as a sound input. There's more info on Page 31 and Page 56 of the manual http://zero88.com/manuals/jesterml%20manual%203.0.pdf Jon Hole linkedin.com/in/jonhole
JB97 Posted August 27, 2015 Author Report Posted August 27, 2015 Hi Jon, How does the detector work, is it a threshold or is there a bpm detector in the desk? Thanks, James
Jon Hole Posted August 27, 2015 Report Posted August 27, 2015 Hi James, The line-level signal goes through various hardware filters and compression which then creates an electrical pulse, which triggers each step of the chase. Jon Jon Hole linkedin.com/in/jonhole
