  2. When I tried David’s link it wouldn’t show the page as it thought the console was FLX S24. Posting this link just in case the above doesn’t work: https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/palettes/advanced-palettes?filter=3

  4. Loading a full showfile on the real console or into Phantom ZerOS should load everything, especially the patch!
  5. Visualisation software is complex, it’s not easy to offer for free (unless it comes with a console that costs £20,000-plus). I’ve got a Capture Solo license. It integrates tightly with FLX consoles (bidirectional control). But the Solo license is about £300 I think. Track forward will apply the update you make to all following cues until a cue is reached where the fixture is given another instruction. e.g. - Fixture 7 is set to 50% in cue 4. Fixture 7 does not change until cue 12 where it gets set to 80%. Fixture 7 is currently tracking from cue 4 through cue 11 (cue 5 thru cue 11 will show in purple in the output window). - In cue 5 you do an update to fixture 7 to make it 60% and you track forward. The result is fixture 7 is still 50% in cue 4 but in cue 5 through cue 11 the new update value of 60% applies. In cue 12 fixture 7 goes to 80% as before. Hope that helps.
  6. OK, thanks, need to spend more time with the desk, shame there is not a free visualizer with the PC software. Also, a question about Track Forward. If I want to add a lantern (intensity) earlier on in the stack and I want it to stay on for Cues afterwards is this what I use? Another problem I am having with PC software is that now when I try to load a show, I don't get anything patched. This used to work, not sure what I have done wrong. Thnks for all your help, Ben
  7. On the assumption assumption that you are running ZerOS and the process is similar to ZerOS on FLX... On FLX, after pressing Record you press position again then, in the record options window, you turn off SmartTag, tap/click the Beam button until the stripe is green then you tap/click the pallette you are recording to. The pallette should have the letters B and P on it after recording. The process is described under Advanced Pallettes in the manual. Apologies if this is no help - I've only used FLX, never had the pleasure of an Orb.
  8. Hello I have a question about saving positions in a palette. When I move a moving head to a specific position and change the zoom, and then save it to the Positions palette, it only saves the position, but not the zoom (beam shape). I've tried many options in the Record window, but to no avail. However, if I move to the position, adjust the zoom, and then save it to the position via Update, it includes the zoom. Why doesn't the console save both parameters (position and beam shape) in the Positions palette? Greetings, Goofy Translated with Google from German to English

  10. On S24/S48 many of the buttons are ‘soft’ at the top of the touch screen. To busk and avoid snaps in general, go into the Z screen and enable Programmer Time with the 5secs or whatever value you want. This video will be useful
  11. SmartTag will record 0% intensity. That’s the one thing it definitely does. What it won’t do is record changes to other parameters at the same time. If you want to record other parameters changes (or the classic Effect Off) at the same time as the fixture goes to 0% then turn off SmartTag for that record operation - remembering to turn it back on for the next one (you can just hit record, turn it on then hit record again to clear the options box without actually recording anything).
  12. Hi, seen how to record palettes on FLX, but FLX S24 does not have a colour button so how to do this on S24. Also wondering if there is a way of busking with pallets and not having colours snap. For example, going from Blue to red during a show using the pallets without programming a Cue. Looked at PDF and online web manual and can't find anything. Ben
  13. Hi, so as SmartTag does not record 0%, how do I record a 0% with this enabled? Shame there is not an option to do this with SmartTag for intensity. Ben
  14. Thansk, that great to know
  15. Selecting each set and using and between them would be the same as 1.1 thru 3.8. Which would span the effect across all the pixels, not apply the effect to 1.1 thru 1.8 and the have 2.1 thru 2.8 do the same thing. What I didn't try was recording a group of say 1.1 thru 4.8, setting an effect on that and recording it as a pallete then trying to apply that to 1.1 thru 1.8 individually then applying it to 2.1 thru 2.8 and so on.
  16. 1.1 thru 1.8 and 2.1 thru 2.8 and 3.1 thru 3.8.. and so on. Should be able to save that as a pre pallet as well, group or fx
  17. Was also trying to do this recently. I selected all the pixels in 1 fixture, so 1.1 thru 1.8 and created the effect I wanted and saved it as a pallete. I could not how ever apply this pallete to any of the othe fixtures, I had to create the effect on each fixture individually. Helped by recording a load of groups during pre programming, so each fixtures pixels as a group, all pixels in the first 4 fixtures as a group and so on...... Then I could just select the group, tap effects, tap chase, adjust a few things and record. More time consuming as i had 24 fixtures each with 8 pixels but the only way I could get it to work.
  18. Note that setting default and home values in ZEROS (certainly on FLX) gets munged by "smart" settings which should be turned off when recording them. That has caught me out a couple of times.
  19. Save the show as .CSV. open this in a spreadsheet. The top row is a map of all fixtures and their parameter channels. You may have to put at least one cue on the master PB and it may need to include a cue that references every fixture. I can't remember. I also can't remember if channel numbers or addresses are included. I've only used it to check cues and parameter values.
  20. Hi, We're a highschool running a S24. How do I extract the channel->DMX data into a human readable form? Effectively I want a patch list, so that if we move & re-address a fitting for some reason, we have a reference to put it back The only way I can see i to get the show information from Setup > Save > Advanced > ZerOS | Save Complete show. This generates a zip file, from which I could possibly reverse engineer from the XML files, but this seems are real hack, and a lot of effort for something that should really exist?

  22. @kgallen I don't have much experience with multi pixel fixtures but would this work? Select each pixel that should.come on together and record a group. Repeat until all the required pixels are in a group. Select the groups not the pixels. Run the effect by groups rather individually. Failing that... If the effect can work on a single fixture then giving them the same address will make them behave the same but rule out treating them individually. Heaven knows what it would do to RDM though. You can patch multiple fixtures, on different addresses to the same channel. Again that stops you treating them separately in this show but they can still be patched separately in another show Or build an actual chase recording each step separately.
  23. Simplest solution is to have all of the fixtures as one dmx address. Assuming that isn't an option or not ideal, it does seem to be a tricky one that I don't believe the video kgallen has pointed to actually addresses. It covers doing what you're already able to do - I watched it not that long ago as I was interested to do what you want to do and ended up just putting them on one dmx address for speed, but have been meaning to experiment since. I suspect you may be able to save the parameters of the effect to a palette, then apply it to individual fixtures in turn, until all of them are doing the same. I'm not convinced it won't just start rolling into doing what you already have though as soon as you add each fixture. Last option is manually creating your own playbacks with as many cues as required to make the effect. As far as I can see though, when you select pixels across multiple lights, the desk just treats them as a big line of lights and doesn't seem to have any understanding of grouping them into fixtures.
  24. Thanks Kgallen, I reproduced it in the channels mode I needed in no time with Fixture Editor 😉
  25. Hmmm not sure I know of a way. Want to upload the zfix here so we can have a play?
  26. is it possible to transform a .zfix fixture file from my s48 into an .ift file to be read by my beloved Frog2 without rebuilding it with the Fixure Editor. Thank you P.
  27. There is a Search panel to search manufacturers and another for models. Maybe an external USB keyboard would help? If you have a recent ZerOS, your most recent patch fixtures should be at the top of a list as "favourites". https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/add-fixtures/searching-filtering
  28. Bonjour, comment retrouver mes marques de projecteurs ( caméo, robert juliat, Stairway) sans passer par la bibliothèque ? À chaque fois que patch , il faut que je les récupère dans la bibliothèque ce qui n'est pas très facile Merci
