Don´t worry Haytech.... it wasn´t the electrician.....it was the ford! Ford is known for dam hot cars!!!!! cheerio

LOL what a funny fuss about a little game. @K-Nine Probably try the good old "try and error" method. After solving the "problem" repeat the steps a few times and write down all results. Analyse the empiric data and may be a new Einstein is born...... Cheers Sven

Hi Ian, please have a look at the Zero 88 Debug. This should be the tool you´re looking for. But also no wireless DMX. cheers
-
Hi GLX, the old Zero 88 Demux 48, can do. The only thing is to order an optional Negative Output Board. The guys of Zero 88 may have one or two left, because it is not produced anymore. I do not know if the new Demux 24 is able to output 2 different potentials on different outputs at the same time, yet. Probably have a look at the Zero 88 download section to find out. Best regards Sven

Hi Ice, yepp, the download is for free. There is a big BUT!!! You need to buy the PC hardware which is needed to use the visualizer. Afterwards you have to fill out a short register form. Now you receive a password which you need to extract the zipped software. For more details please contact the AVO guys. I think Ric is responsible for the Visualizer. I hope this is of help. Cheers Sven

Hi ELKD, yepp I fully agree with you. I am also working as salesman and somehow as LD(I do not like the word almost!!!:-)) WYSIWYG works fine but costs a lot. It is only worth purchasing for rentals who have to disposite the equipment, count power consumption etc. AND prepare the Lighting Rig, because during setup and showtime there is not enough time left for programming. Most customers of our company who use WYSIWYG are using it for predesign theater stages. To give a hint to all frog users who only want to prepare their upcomming light setup and do not need a realtime 3d render. The AVO Visualizer is still a nice tool to do so and it´s costs are almost half of a complete WYSIWYG. I stop "marketing" now! have a fine day Sven

Hi Steph, you are in the Frog Support Forum!!! What kind of comments do you expect.....? To be serious! The Zero 88 Frog desks are really reliable. They are easy to use, have a distinguished outfit, a very stable operating system, operating on the desks is very fast and purchasing a Zero 88 Frog Desk means also an outstanding customer support!!!*:-) So Steph be carefull the last statement is a commercial..... You may test the guys who are around this forum. You will see you receive quick answeres and solution posting your question/problem. cheers Sven P.S.: Let us welcome you in the "Frogfamily"!

What about programming your memories with palettes only. Now you can copy your memories wherever you want. For some change which belong the whole show you only need to edit your palettes and everything is fine. cheers Sven
-
Hi Paul, hmmmmmm :?: :!: I think killing the relation between memories and palettes, is a downgrade and makes the palette to a "live edit function" only. Please keep the software in it´s specs as it is. cheers Sven P.S.: A happy nu 2k5 to all frogfreaks!!!

Hi Kevin, if there is no way inverting the brightness at the fixture, you have to edit the lib defaults via the Fixture Type Editor with a standard pc. Another way is to send me the DMX chart and I can do this for you. Cheers Sven
-
Hi X-....., well I get your point of view. As Sp wrote why don´t you use the "solo function"? I read through all the posts here and my first idea was a kind of "Temp Overlay" instead of the harsh Solo Function. regards Sven
-
Hi Heppy, Yes that´s possible! Like you wrote the desk has to be in partial mode. Please keep in mind that the Frogs always record the brightness values. In your special case: Before pressing program for the first "moving" step turn down the brightness to zero. Then press and hold "Position" + Program(without hold!!!*:-) ) Now go on with your chase ...... The brightness chase has to be programmed like the position chase. cheers Sven
-
Hi Sam, YES, you have to.... Another "Work Around" is to set the LTP Trigger at 0% for the "Generic Sub". Watch the brightness values. They are still on the Sub as programmed! regards Sven
-
Hi Jasper, yes you are right in some point of views, but in others you are not. Talking about Grand MA offline, this editor or virtual desk is only able to work via ethernet to communicate with a real console or remoting it. That is an advantage to the Phantom Frog. Right! But keep in mind the costs!!! A Frog start at 3k EUR a MA at 11k EUR retail I suppose. Any more questions? Please do not try to compete lighting desks which play in different leagues. To get a real Frog working with WYSIWYG you will need a real Frog, a fast PC with a very good VGA card, a WYSIWYG Perform xxx and a so called WYGIT 2. The WYGIT2 is an external hardware interface with DMX in/out and USB to the PC. that is all for now. Cheers Sven

Hi Sam, I read through your problem and K-Nine answered great. (schleim) Another "Work around" is to edit the Minimac lib via the Fixture Type Editor and change the shutter from Beamshape to Brightness. In Consequence all data which is included on that channel will be treated as HTP now. You´re able to fade this channel then. best regards
-
Hi Peter, Off course you are able to copy the chase! After copiing you only need to edit each step (ie old chan off new on) and that´s it! The only sense I see behind that fuss is to keep general chase settings. I think you´ll faster to reprogram as K-nine wrote before. regards Sven
-
Yepp, SP, you got it! Probably contact your local dealer and ask for an offer of the DMX-interface. Cheers Sven 8)

Hi SP, DO NOT plug your DMX Line to this Socket!!! The Le Maitre Haze has a DMX Remote as Option!!!! Your 3pin XLR is a analog input! Please see the link!!! http://www.lemaitreltd.com/docs/Neutron%20XS%20Manual.pdf regards Sven

More than one brightness channel per fixture
Laubfrosch replied to Laubfrosch's topic in Frog Range MK1
A big hello together, I read through these posts and noticed a little frustration there. So please keep in mind the mambo frog is mainly a moving light desk. I suggested a special fixture with multiple htp (i.e. 3 or 6) a long time ago. K-Nine explained at that time a fixture like that could cause too much processing. But even the BullFrog has "only" 96 single HTP + 24 ML HTP possible. So if you need more than 96 single HTPs the frog range desks aren´t the one you should work with. @x-terminator Please check your patch. Assigning a scroller you have to watch which channel is the HTP and which the LTP Scroller! A small workaround for the LTP Problem on the Mambo. Why don´t you program a fx button as a kind of BLACK OUT!!? (all DimLTP´s at zero!!!) Keep all Dim LTP´s tagged during programming, so you´ll get a kind of good old master piece "swap function" ( only the last memory active). That´s all for now. cheers Sven -
Hi Sam, tsts......never jump on a Frog! Question: what is broken the whole wheel or just a part of the frame. Doesn´t matter the easiest way is to contact your dealer and order a new wheel. Changing takes about 5 Minutes for a skilled techy. Cheers Sven
-
Hi SP, what you want is a real group master. Sorry, this can´t be realised with a frog!!! AND there is NO work around, I suppose. You´ll have to deal with the subs best regards Sven

Setting Minimacs to sound activated mode from Fat Frog?
Laubfrosch replied to samcoombes's topic in Frog Range MK1
Hi Sam, the guys above set you up in the right and competent way!!! All you have to do is to program a chase memory including your minimacs and set times and trigger like you want. You DO NOT have to set the minimacs to any SA mode (SA sounds even shitty to me!!! F...up german history) If you can´t deal with chase programming, try the FROG FUNCTION of the Frogs. BUT REMEMBER all Desks and Movinglights only do what they are told!!! Cheers Sven -
@Haytech:-) Yes, i´m still alive! Probably one for your qoutes..... "Improvisation is the first step into innovation." Grüße vom südlichen Fischkopp
