  1. I normally program colours etc on the FX-buttons, becouse it's easy to select them that way. 8)

    but sometimes I use more fixtures and then I don't have enough buttons to put all of the colours on it. :(

  2. I knew that one, but when you could change color, gobo etc. with the subs it would be easier and faster on a live performance.

    maybe something to include in one of the next versions of software. :lol:

  3. is it possible to assign for example colors on a submaster so when you move a sub upwards it doesn't dim but the colors change.

    for example like on the SGM Pilot 2000.

    If it's possible, how do I have to do that?

  4. when I turn on my desk (mambo frog / software 9.0) and want to play the progs that are there from a previous show, it takes about 1sec for the subs to reach 100%.

    when I then make a new program it works fine but the progs that are still in there still have the same problem.

  5. at the moment the card is in an external box, because we ordered an other type which wasn't finished yet. The new one will be integrated in the laser.

    It's possible that you haven't heard about this method, becouse we're using software that is made by the company where we bought the laser.

    I'll take this friday some pics of the case and the controller, hopefully you then get a better idea of how the laser is controlled.

  6. I just program each colour,beamshape and position on a SX so I can switch rapid. and for the movements I mostly use the ones that are already in the mambo. just change the max tilt level so they don't come on the roof and some static ones for mirrorballs, dancers, effects or group members if it's a band. We previously did it with a SGM Pilot but a mambo is much faster. I'm glad we bought one. 8)

  7. I usually program each par channal on subs 1->12 and the chases on channel 13->18.

    moving lights on SX

    01->12 color

    13->24 beamshape

    25->36 position

    and on subs 19->24 the chases so you can change color, beamshape and position just by pressing the SX buttons.

    this way you can rapidly control a show live.

    It's onely 20 minits work so thats also a positive thing :lol:

  8. 1)

    Add an optional DMX controller for remote control of tons of special Stinger laser effects.

    think you have to buy a special controller for the stinger where there are shows preprogrammed.

    2) If you have the right personality files I would control normal lights, but for lasers I'm not sure.

    3) I hope for the guys @ zero88 that there are a lot in the world

  9. yes you have to change the personality files.

    open the Fixture Type Editor

    -> open existing fixture type file

    -> select the wanted fixture file and open it

    -> select parameters

    -> double click on the attribute you want to change

    -> adjust the default value in the requested value

  10. last saturday my mambo frog crashed

    I pressed the program type button to program a chase and the desk saved the show, but when it came at 13% it gave a blue screen and had to reset the desk.

    I'm running 9.0 software

  11. I hope the new desk comes with a lot of FX buttons, they're useful I think. or maybe some wheels where you can assign different things (color, gobo, shutter, dimmer,...) for a group of fixtures, so you can change them that way without programming a lot of FX buttons or change the groups and control it with the wheels that there on the desk at the moment.

    The idea for an inventing game seems interesting. I could maybe help the people from Zero88 to know what the users want and what they think is needed in future desks. But you can maybe tell what can be done and what is out of the question. Or let the users determine what they are willing to pay for such a desk.

  12. If you want it like the Maxxys (screens, cd, intercom, etc) I think it will cost a bit too much to devellop and manufacture the desk.

    the price will be to high for the users that use the frog range at the moment I think and then the question is: is there still a big demand for desks of that type so zero can make profit out of it.

    I'm happy with the mambo, but the idea of a display above the submasters/FX buttons is indeed interresting.

    also like the béta tester idea. count me in. :lol:

  13. I mostly work with the mambo frog and there I program the pars on subs like you do on one page, but I program the colours, gobo's, etc on the FX buttons.

    those are really useful.

    now I usually need 1 submaster page and the FX buttons for an entire show where I control the lights live
