  1. If you wish to run several chases at the same time - use the submasters - that is what they are there for The memory stack is designed to go through the stack of programmed memories (which may or may not include chase memories) sequentially using the GO button or automatic or timed triggers.
  2. Not sure what you are saying here, but why not program the chase memory that you want, and any additional channels directly onto another submaster, then raise the two at the same time, remembering that any generic or brightness channels common to both submasters will be output on a HTP basis
  3. Scene memories and chase memories are two distinct types of memory and have different parameters and modifiers. 'Simply' taking the outputs and recording them as a chase memory is far more difficult than it may sound 8O Potentially you could have up to 12 or even 24 (bull frog/mambo frog) different chases running at the same time all with different modifiers (direction, actions, drives, speeds), plus a memory from the playback X, plus contributions via the generic faders, control wheels etc.
  4. Pipo is correct - to reference a palette - simply press and hold down the required attribute button (Colour, Beamshape, Position). This turns the channel flash buttons into palette selection buttons. Editing memories - To adjust the generic channel levels - see Modifying Scenes - Page 4-9.
  5. Just copy the original chase memory to a new memory
  6. When you program a scene memory, you effectively take a snapshot of the outputs at the point you press the PROGRAM button - so if you have moving lights moving as a result of a raised submaster (this could be from a position chase, movement effect or FROG function) you still only pick up the instantaneous values on pressing PROGRAM. If you want to program a chase memory - you have to select an unprogrammed memory, make it a chase and program each step as required. If you want to have a chase memory which is based on an exisiting chase but contains additional channels - then copy the original chase and then edit the new one - by adding in the channels to each step.
  7. I have had similar experiences when hosting pictures using www.TinyPic.com . On some forums they work fine, on others such as this they come up with an error message or the red 'x'. I asked Peter about this and here is his response: It would seem to me that the problem lies in the tinypic url. The Blue Room software (and I imagine the Zero88 forum software too) expects a .gif or .jpg at the end of a url to recognize that it's an image. Try www.photobucket.com , which is definitely blue room and Zero88 forum friendly.
  8. Chase memory, two steps; first step = first colour, second step = third colour. Chase Modifiers: Direction = Forwards; Colour Action = Fade; Drive = Automatic, Speed - adjust to required speed

  10. Have a look at the Blue Room Technical Forum (link below). They have a lot of members with experience in lighting and other technical areas of entertainment BLUE ROOM FORUM
  11. When going from one memory to the next on the memory stack the colour, beamshape and position parameters for the programmed fixtures can either snap or fade to their programmed values. If set to fade they will fade in the LTP fade time for the memory. If you want the colours and gobos to change instantly (or as fast as the actual fixture will change them) - then set the colour and beamshape action to snap in the memory. 12. The Next memory only auto increments if you use method 1 to transfer memories to submasters and this part of the user interface design. This method is intended for quick transfer of a number of sequential memories on the memory stack to a number of submasters. For example - Select memory 21 as the next memory; select the required submaster page; press and hold down one of the transfer buttons and then press in turn submaster flash buttons 1 - 12. You will now have transferred memories 21 - 32 inclusive to submasters 1 - 12 on the selected page in one simple quick operation In this situation, if the memory number did not automatically increment after each transfer you would end up with memory 21 on all 12 submasters 8O If you don't want the next memory to increment when transferring memories to subs, use method 2 instead. See Frog Manual Pages 5-4 and 5-5 for further details
  13. The Dwell time is really only applicable to a memory in the memory stack (playback X) if the following memory has an automatic trigger. For example: Memory 1 has a GO trigger, fade up/down time of 3 seconds and a dwell time of 27 seconds. Memory 2 has an automatic trigger and a fade up/down time of 3 seconds. Select memory 1 and press the GO button. Memory 1 will fade up and reach it's programmed levels in 3 seconds. The outputs will then remain at the levels programmed in memory 1 for 27 seconds. Memory 2 will then trigger automatically fade in in 3 seconds.
  14. I think Paul must have spent most of the weekend thinking those up The desks were called Frogs before I renamed the "Auto-Chase" function to the FROG function There were various other working names before Graham decided on the names Frog and Fat Frog.

    Hot Cars

    Yes, it's called a Frog 2
  16. As it says in the post above ... this applies when the memories screen is in Follow Mode
  17. Call me a sceptic if you like, but I still remain unconvinced that this is possible. A screen dump of the solution could have been faked. What I need is mathematical proof of what moves are carried out to give that result
  18. Hmm, are you sure there's not a trick somewhere ?? I assume that a frog can only jump in one direction and only over a single from or onto the next stone ... correct ?
  19. Unless I have missed something obvious (which is a possibility) I don't thnk there is a solution to this problem :?
  20. The Phantom Frog is an offline editor which is run on a PC. It can be set up as any of the desks in the Frog range (frog, fat frog, leap frog, mambo frog, bull frog) or as a frog box. For further information see the Phantom Frog Forum The default lock code for the frog desks is 0000. Each frog desk does have a unique lock code based on the desk serial number. This is only required if the desk is locked and you have forgotten the current lock code
  21. Frog 2 at TPi Awards 2005 Since previewing the Frog 2 console at PLASA and LDi last year, Zero 88 have gained several months of user feedback, and are in the final stages of software development before launch. The Daytime TPi event has been chosen to obtain last minute feedback on the Frog 2 software before final production ready release in a few weeks. We would like to invite anybody who has not yet seen the console or who saw it last year and would like to see where we have taken the software, to come along and have your say. We will have a couple of consoles available for demonstration during the afternoon as well as drinks and light refreshments. The 2005 Total Production International Awards are being held at the Novotel West in Hammersmith, London on January 31st 2005. The Zero 88 Frog 2 event will be open from 12.00 noon to 6.00pm in the Pomerol Suite.
  22. So it's not just me having a 'poodle' moment then
  23. I'm not even sure what the question was :? Which bit in the website are we supposed to be looking at :?:
  24. I have just tried this on the Phantom Frog and it does the same with the transfer with time; if you page up or down then transfer the memory to the submaster - the memories screen locks up - press Submasters and memories buttons and it's OK again :? Frog Reference No 5511 - When transferring a memory, if you page up or down to select the submaster page - after the transfer is completed, the memories screen locks up.
