Hi.

First post from me is a request for suggestions. i have got several profiles in my rig at the mo and am looking to make a "forest in the daytime" sort of effect (like how Chessington does it on the Gruffalo). I currently have them running as a chase on a MFF, but was wondering if there was a better, or easier way of getting the effect I have been looking for.

Hope this explains the idea. if you don't understand, i don't blame you! pretty awful at explaining stuff at the best of times.

Thanks all!

Hi Adam,

Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum.

Rather than using a chase, have you tried using some of the intensity effects available? If not, you may find one of these gives the result you're after.

To watch a webinar on Chases and Effects on ZerOS consoles, see below...

Hope this helps,

Edward

Thank Edward. found some good ideas, but is it possible to offset the fixtures entirely (so no 2 fades are the same, if that makes sense?)?

The reason I made the chase was because of the ransom order, which, as you know, mixes the order of the 15 or so cues i programmed in. set it with a very low BPM (I think I did it at 11 BPM) to adjust the light output overall.

God knows if this explains anything, or if i am just drabbling. Forgive me if this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!

Hi Adam,

To provide a custom offset across your fixtures, you will be able to hold Z/Shift, and dial the offset encoder. Your fixtures will start to offset. For more information, please see the link below...

https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/effects/effect-parameters#offset

Each time you apply a random offset to an effect, the console will come up with a random order. With chases, random will automatically choose a random next cue each time.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
