Zoom from PARZOOM not working ...

Hello,

I was performing last week, and I have a weird thing
I had 8 PARZOOMs on the ground, including 1 with Zoom didn't seem to work.

I changed the address to see if it was PARZOOM that had a problem, and Zoom is working good.  it came from somewhere else.
The Zoom worked fine with a other address but no longer worked when returning to its original address. I nevertheless took another emergency projector (in case) and on the address of the Original ParZoom (with ZOOM defect) and idem, Zoom did not work.

Not having time during the Dance Contest to Unpatch & repatch the Fixture, because too many CUEs recorded. I had to leave things like this.

I will try tomorrow to reconnect the PARZOOM directly to the FLX without an intermediary to see if the problem comes from the FLX or if it may come from the room where I was.
Because all the Ground projectors from this show passed through the DMX universe which also controls stage Dimmers, as well as Split Showtec or/And Botex.

if we reconnect the console I see that the problem comes from the FLX, I imagine that there is not much to do? Because It's impossible to change programming, to much parameter to configure...

Thanks for your Help.

Eric

What was the outcome of your tests with this fixture?

  • 4 weeks later...

Thank you for your question... too many shows follow one after the other... I was able to reinstall the ParZOOM with another program because it only uses one universe. Everything was working fine.
But I will soon have another show that will use two universes and again the PARZOOM...
in my last show no problem with PARZOOM on 1 universe
So during the problem, in fact I had all my circuits which were controlled by the FLX, but which for the PARZOOM universe came out of the FLX, passed through a 24/48 jester, to have manual control of certain traditional projector manually. I did not have time to check if on the Jester, it could have the same channel that could be on the Zoom, and on the other hand given that the signal itself passed through a dimmer block circuits 1 to 24, maybe there was a problem there.
I will be more in mid April, being in the meantime with the FLX in another configuration and in the PARZOOM...
Thanks Edward
