Sven76 started following ssh into console?
-
Hi friends, does someone know if there is a way to ssh or telnet or rlogin into the console? As the console is legacy and now also no new SW will be developed I'm curious and would like to look around a bit 😉 Best regards! Sven

Stopping Movers after a cue with an effect running
kgallen replied to Worcester RGSTech's topic in Solution & Solution XL
Somehow you have to get a "No Effect" instruction in there otherwise even if your next movers cue is at a new position, they'll just start dancing around that new position. I'm not familiar with Solution but as it's a "modern" ZerOS console (i.e. post Frog2/LF94/ORB) I would expect it to have Smart Tag, assuming you're not in "Cue Only" mode. So I'm not clear why your Record and Update options boxes don't show a usable Smart Tag button. - Earlier

Davidmk started following New ETC Coloursource V Zoom PAR
-
Check out my thread here. Back in the day you sent a scan of or link to the manual to support and a few office hours later you got a personality file back. The fixture would then be in the next release of the library for everyone to use. Now, it seems, the process takes longer and you have to pay for it. I imagine most people just use the Fixture Editor in the desk to generate their own. If there is a process by which fixtures get added to the library without someone requesting them then I am unaware of it. However I believe it is a resource shared with other manufacturers so you never know.

Will the fixture list be updated for the new ETC Coloursource V Zoom PAR fixture?
-
Yea I went through the manual and it doesn't seem to be designed for the FLX S, so that its available for the Watch thingy is kinda not right, at least for the FLX S. I saw Highlight working tho. But yea after clearing the programmer we weren't able to get the fixtures working again, besides the one selected throu Rem Dim. Idk, maybe that's just an individual problem or so. Solved it by basically not allowing my friend to use Rem Dim anymore, works fantastic. Thanks again to you all.

Rem Dim (or Remainder Dim) is a feature common on most lighting desks which dims all active outputs to 0%, and sends all channels you have selected to 100%. This feature is particularly useful during focusing sessions or rig checks. E.G. Dimmers 1 thru 12 are at 50%. You want to specifically pick out dimmer 6 to allow you to focus it better. Select channel 6 and 'Rem Dim', channels 1 thru 5, and 7 thru 12 go to 0% and channel 6 goes to 100%. In ZerOS, channels affected by Rem Dim are shown in Yellow as @kgallen has pointed out earlier. I don't believe Rem Dim is a feature that is enabled on the FLX S range consoles, and is exclusive to full FLX only (unaware of other legacy consoles). On review of the ZerOS Shortcuts (https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/shortcuts/keyboard-shortcuts?filter=1) "Shift + F" enables Rem Dim on FLX but I have tried this on Phantom and it doesn't work for FLX S. This may be an error that this feature works via an Apple Watch (unable to test this unfortunately!) You do have access to the 'Highlight' feature (Shift + Home) on FLX S range. Highlight allows you to temporarily bump the intensity of a selected fixture up to 100%, which again can also be useful during focusing. During testing on Phantom ZerOS, both Rem Dim and Highlight can be 'CLEAR CLEAR'-ed. Hope this is of some help! Good luck!

That's a nuisance. It was late when I scanned through the manual so, if I missed something about releasing it, I apologise.
-
That's the thing, clearing doesn't undo it, nor deselecting or in that matter anything (at least when we tried). But i'll look into it, and maybe I'll come back here this evening
