  1. Hi Both

This is a particular problem with the Mac 250 Entour fixture profile, in Enhanced mode. It has been fixed in our internal fixture library and will be included in the next software update. I have attached this fixture profile to this message, so you can download that and use it.

Please let me know how you get on with this,

    Regards,

  2. Hi Ryan

    Here you go :)

Let me know how you get on,

    Peter

(When creating your own personalities, you need to set Special:Pan and Special:Tilt on the Pan & Tilt parameters in the Fixture Type Editor, for the desk to be able to use movement effects on those parameters . Wheel group data is optional, you only need this if you don't like the default parameter layout on the wheels. Only the Sirius250/500 use the 4-wheel-group data, all other desks use the 3-wheel-group data).

  3. Hi Ivan

We have an idea what might be causing this - could you try the following for me:

After each boot, open the System Info window (Shift+F6) and log down all the details under "Input Devices". Do this for a few seperate boot attempts and see if the numbers change - post the results here and we'll see whether we can track down what's happening.

    Thanks,

    Peter

  4. Hi Ryan

This should be easy - the effect parameters are just treated like any other parameter, so as long as you program them into each step of the chase (or set them in the first and then don't change them), then simply program the intensity chase in the steps as you'd expect.

I hope this clears things up - please let us know how you get on,

    Regards,

  5. This sounds like it is probably an issue related to the actual installation rather than the products in use - the easiest and quickest way of fixing this is going to be to talk to the company who put the installation into the venue. They will know the specifics of the installation and will be able to advise as to which element of the system may be at fault - without knowing these specifics it would be difficult to know where to start with fixing this problem.

I hope this helps - let us know how you get on,

  6. What you've missed is the Virtual Channel capabilities of the library. You need to create an additional "Virtual" channel which is classified as Brightness and has "Virtual" ticked. Then on each of the Red, Green and Blue channels tick the "Scale by Virtual Intensity" option.

I have taken the liberty of creating 3 fixtures for you:

-ColourPalette 6 - this is 6 channel mode, in one fixture

-ColourPalette M - this is the "master" channels (1,2,3)

-ColourPalette C - this is each "cell"

To patch the fixture in 9, 15 or 27 channel mode, patch first a ColourPalette "M" then follow that by the appropriate quantity of "C" (eg for 15 channel mode, patch 1 Master and 4 Cells)

This allows you to use the Auto Palettes, Fan Functions and Offset functions in Effects across the LEDs - it is, of course, possible to create one big fixture, but this wouldn't work with those functions.

I hope this helps - if you require any further assistance, please don't hesitate to let us know.

This feature was added to version 3 software (Submaster Controls...) and functions in such a way that any attribute set to Submaster Controls... will be faded relative to the fader level instead of fading at the trigger level. For a speed control, program the 'top' speed required (assuming 0 is slow and 255 is fast, program 255) onto the submaster and the fader will allow you level-based control when Submaster Controls... is set to Beamshape. Note that the crossfade is relative to the level the channel was at at the time the submaster starts moving, so you may need to run a memory or another submaster to force the channel to a known value before starting to use Submaster Controls...

I hope this helps - Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year

    Peter

  9. UPDATED FOR ZerOS VERSION 7.2.0 - 21/12/2011

It is possible to connect external touchscreens to the ZerOS consoles via USB. Supported screens will be listed here as and when the drivers are integrated into the desk operating system and tested.

Please only buy screens that are listed here as known working. Other screens may not work with the desk.

Currently known working (tested and confirmed), ZerOS version 7.2.0:

    3M Microtouch M150

    3M Microtouch M170

    ELO ET1746L

    LG L1730SF

    LG L1530SF

    iPure

    Solarism LM1731BT

    Illyama T1531SR

Currently assumed working (driver support provided, no reports):

    LG Touch (all)

    Ilyama

ELO touch (most) - see below

    3M PCT touch screens

    Not yet working:

    Solarism LM1730S

ELO Touch Acoustic Pulse Recognition (APR) screens

    FireBox Displays

    LG T1710

Screens with a serial connection will not work via a USB-Serial converter. The screen needs to have a direct USB connection.

Although we will endeavour to add support for other screens where possible, we make no guarantees about this since the drivers may not be available in the correct format for the desk operating system. If you want us to add support for a different screen, then we may ask you to loan us the screen (including the drivers CD that came with it) for a short time for testing. Unfortunately we cannot go out and buy one of every type of screen available to do this ourselves.

For further discussion, see THIS TOPIC.

  10. Setting up the Aux is a 2 step process - first you need to assign the DMX address to the Aux, then, you need to define the action and max/min levels.

To assign the DMX address, go to DMX Patch, select the DMX address you've set the mchines to, and hold down SHIFT+ press the Preset A flash button of the Aux you want to assign.

To define the max/min levels and action, go to Aux Setup and select the aux, then enter the values for the Max, Min and Action (Go/Flash/Solo) as required.

Once these are set your auxes should work fine. If you're still having problems, post a copy of your show file here and we'll take a look at it.

    Regards,

  11. Hi Arts Tech

The fixtures you've provided on the desk have 5 channels - Intensity, Ch2, Ch3, Ch4, Ch5. My guess is that you're not programming the Intensity channel at a non-zero value. With Smart Tag enabled, any zero intensity fixtures are NOT stored into cues, to help "move on dark" work correctly.

What are the 5 channels on the fixture? It would make sense to modify your fixture profile so that it is correctly labelled, as this will allow you to use things like the Colour Picker and Auto Palettes with your LED fittings.

I hope this helps to explain what you're seeing,

    Regards,

  12. Hi Thomas

What you've described is exactly what the Jester ML24 does - the generic dimmers are located on faders, and the 'fixtures' (anything more complicated than a single DMX channel) are located on the 'multi function keys'. These keys function as fixture selection keys, and also as colour selection, together with the control wheels. Press FIXTURES, select the ones you want to work with, then press COLOUR and select the colour you want (either using the keys, or using the control wheels). These changes can then be programmed into a Memory or a Submaster as required.

I hope this helps to clear things up for you - please do let us know if you have any more questions,

    Regards,

    Peter

  13. Hi Tom

The Jester 12/24 can only crossfade 24 channels, due to hardware limitations. Any other channels will be mixed LTP and latched as you describe. So the desk will work fine as a backup, but not as a replacement for the larger desk.

Our new Jester TL and TLXtra desks can crossfade upto 200 dimmer channels, so this may be a more appropriate choice for your needs.

I hope this clears things up,

    Regards,

    Peter
