  1. Hi Gavin In anything displayed on the monitor at this time? Do you have a USB stick in the desk at the time of booting? What software version are you running?
  2. Hi Kev Unfortunately the product is just entering production in the next couple of weeks, so you won't have any luck by next friday. List price is £1645. The basic ML is £999.
  3. Hi Christian The 2 spare sockets on the back of the Leap Frog 48 are for the 4 Universe DMX Upgrade kit - 12-145-99 - available now. We have no plans at present to add an upgrade kit to add the desk lamp as you suggest, however there is nothing to stop you manually adding one to the other spare socket on the rear of the desk (a 12v supply is available on the motherboard for this purpose, labelled "lamp"). Hope this helps, Peter
  4. Hi Kev No, the product you want for that is the Jester TL, which was previewed at PLASA - this allows you to control 200 channels of dimming + 30 moving lights using an in built keypad, with all the other functionality of the Jester ML built in. Hope this helps, Peter
  5. Hi Carwyn As the Leap Frog does not have a dimmable desk lamp, the option should never have been there in the first place. This was actually a bug we fixed in this release. Hope this clears things up, Peter
  6. Hi Thomas I sent you an email about this as well: The DMX-In for submasters is working correctly - the act of *flashing* a DMX-In channel selects it for programming. If you require flashing on submasters, use the physical faders and buttons on the desk. I hope this clears things up Peter
  7. The key here is manual tagging as opposed to Smart Tags. When Smart Tags are enabled, each cue records the changes from the previous one automatically. When Smart Tags are disabled, you can manually specify which parameters you want to program into the memories by 'tagging' by moving wheels/faders. In your example, with Smart Tags disabled (Special Page 1), the already moving fixtures should be untagged in memories 3,4 and 5, to prevent the effects resyncronising when the memories are triggered. I hope this helps - if you need any more help or clarification, please don't hesitate to let us know.
  8. Not strictly true - it is also possible to load individual "ift" files using the <Select Fixture from Floppy Disk> option in Assign Fixtures. This copies the fixtures to the desk temporarily and stores them as part of the show file. Hope this clears things up, Peter
  9. The forum settings have now been changed to allow you to upload .dat files in the future.

New desk software (ZerOS 4.4.0) Offline editor software (Phantom ZerOS 4.4.0) Release notes describing all the new functions and bug fixes ZerOS Networking Guide
  11. Frog 2 Software Version 4.4.0 Released The following are now available from the Downloads section of the website: CLICK HERE. New desk software (ZerOS 4.4.0) Offline editor software (Phantom ZerOS 4.4.0) Release notes describing all the new functions and bug fixes ZerOS Networking Guide
  12. Hi J The original Frog range only support DOS style 8 character file names - anything longer will be ignored or truncated and could cause problems. Try renaming the file. Hope this helps, Peter
  13. Hi WierdProfessor Watch this space - we've actually added a new feature which allows you select the sort order of the MFK assigned fixtures into the next version of software. You won't have to wait long - this software should be out today!
  14. Hi there Yes, there is a certificate. For on site training, drop me an email and i'll let you know. Cheers, Peter
  15. Hi Frogfabi This feature is coming in the next release, due out really soon. I'll make sure that your fixtures are included in the updated library with an inverted dimmer. You'll then be able to program them at 100% and the desk will do the calculation to reverse that value. Hope this helps, Peter
  16. Hi Dave This is something we've found in the current software and have fixed in the beta software we're currently testing. So hopefully you won't have to live with the bug for too long! Kind Regards, Peter
  17. Hi Ryan Smart Tag only records parameters for a fixture whose intensity is non-Zero, or the shutter isn't closed. Therefore, with Smart Tag enabled, you have to turn the fixtures on as well as setting a level in order to get a fixture to record its parameters. With Smart Tag off, the record function will behave as you're expecting. Regards, Peter
  18. Dear Sir, Whilst we are glad that you like our products and want to use them as inspiration for your own projects, we have concerns about issuing detailed design information for current products. We have over time established good relationships with our authorised distributors and an understanding of trust which allows us to provide them with information so that they can assist our brand by servicing products locally. Many parts used in our products (such as LCDs and Wheels) are custom made for us and are not commercially available, our investment in these is part of the product and brand styling and is something we wish to protect. If you wish to progress the matter further then we will need you to call the office and discuss this with Graham Eales - managing director of Zero 88. Sorry to seem rather negative about this, but we have to protect our Intellectual Property and focus our support efforts on our products rather than personal projects. I hope you will understand our position. Kind Regards, Peter Kirkup Product Manager Zero 88
  19. As others have said, make sure you've set the Active Partition using the tool (it'll warn you if its not set). On the USB stick you should see a single folder labelled "install", when browsing from a normal windows screen. When you boot the desk, do you see a "Loading... Stage2" text appear briefly on the monitor? Let us know how you get on, Peter
  20. Hi Stefan This function will only become available with the next release of software (currently in beta test) - please bear with us! At present, the Phantom software doesn't output any data. Kind Regards, Peter

  22. Hi Teis Sorry to hear about your troubles - it's not something we've heard of before. Some questions... -Does this happen on all the USB ports, or only on a specific one? -Does it happen with all USB sticks, or just a specific one? -Have you used any previous software versions on this desk, and did they work OK? -Can you save your showfile to CD OK? -Is it a big showfile (lots of fixtures patched, lots of memories programmed etc)? These answers will help us work out what is going on. Also, could you PM me the serial number for your desk (don't post this in the public forum), so that we can track your desk in our system and check what hardware combination it has. Many thanks,
  23. We've now added a link to the LightFactory Forum to the main forum homepage - please address all LightFactory questions there
  24. The ORBs have left the building on the way to the PLASA show. Pop along to stand A80 from Sunday and see it in action. Zero 88 will also be showing the new Jester TL and LightFactory software, so there will be plenty to see. The stand is right next to the entrance to Earls Court 2, so skip the cues at Earls Court 1 and pop along to see us. Also added to this website is a demonstration version of Phantom ZerOS, our offline editor for the ORB, as well as a special demonstration version of Light Converse which will communicate directly with the desk. A Specification Sheet has also been made available for download. Look forward to seeing you at PLASA, The Zero 88 development team View the full article
  25. An ORB promotional flyer is now available for download. The flyer features information and photography relating to the new theatre console, and can be found on the Download page. These flyers will be available in printed form at the forthcoming PLASA show, where Orb will feature on the Zero 88 stand (Stand A80, Earls Court 2). Zero 88 will also be showing a new member of the Jester family and LightFactory PC control software, so please pop along and see what's new. View the full article
