  1. Hi Piero It is not possible to remove or edit the fixture library in the desk. This wouldn't be causing a slow-down anyway as the library is stored in the flash memory not in the RAM. The permenantly active UDK is something we've been discussing for a while - something like a PARK but for a set of channels instead of a whole fixture. I will add your thoughts to the list, Kind Regards
  2. Hi Kalle If you are familiar with a Fat Frog, the Leap Frog 48 is the closest desk in terms of operating and style. If you want more advanced control, the Frog 2 takes things to another level. I hope this helps, Peter
  3. Hi Kev Hope you're getting on well with the desk - the two sets of faders (Playbacks and Master Playbacks) are mixed Latest Takes Precidence so the last one you moved will take precidence over the other ones, grabbing the output value. With the cue stack selected, you should be able to move the Master Playback "HTP Master" to 0% and pick up the level then return it to 100%. I hope this helps - let us know how you're getting on with the desk, Kind Regards,
  4. Hi Piero The new graphics functions do use more processing power so you might find the desk a little slower to start up. You can always revert to the original skin to improve the boot time. To remove fixtures, just go into the Fixture Schedule (add fixtures) window and change the quantity to a lower number. I hope this helps, Peter
  5. Hi Egon Can you send me a copy of your show file (peter.kirkup@cooperindustries.com) and i'll take a look at it. Thanks,
  6. Hi Carwyn To use Submasters as programming devices, you need SMART TAG enabled - this is found on Special Page 1. If this is disabled then recording a memory only takes the tagged-channels I hope this helps,
  7. Hi there, Your problem sounds like a corrupted show file on the desk. Try booting the desk with SHIFT held down on an external keyboard - this will bring up a boot menu which will allow you to clear the show file. If this doesn't help you may like to try re-installing the desk software. I hope this helps, peter
  8. Hi Mike The behaviour you're describing does sound like a submaster being flashed or some other output problem from the hardware communicating with the software. We have Mac 250 Entours in our demo room and have no such problems with fixture profiles altering, so I would suggest that this is a hardware specific fault on your console. I'm always wary of a problem which seemingly "goes away" after a quick poke around inside. You could have an intermittant cable or circuit board fault inside the desk - I'd suggest more thorough investigation at the distributors. The Leap Frog range do not offer PARK functionality - this functionality is offered on the ORB and Frog 2 consoles. The RGB swapping to CMY is a setting on the fixture wheels - hold down SETUP and press COLOUR, then select "Colour Edit Mode" - you can opt for CMY or RGB. I hope this helps clear things up, Regards, Peter
  9. Hi Mike Can you be more specific about what doesn't work with the profile? Thanks, Peter
  10. Yep, you are correct - as long as the Fat Frog is a generation 2 hardware (most are) then it takes a normal CR2032 and it is very easy to fit. I hope this solves the problems you're having
  11. Hi Joe By looking at your signature I see that you've cracked this one - press F2 to open the Name popup, then follow the on-screen instructions. I hope this helps,
  12. Hi zippy Try using the moving light effects for the Mac 2ks - press POSITION multiple times to cycle through to the effects controls (Effect, Size X, Size Y, Rotation, Offset and Speed) - these controls get treated like normal moving light parameters and therefore you can record a single cue which causes the movement to run. The other option is to use a CHASE - hold down the MEM TYPE button until CHASE lights, then program each step - you'd want to set the Source 4s the same in each step, but only adjust the 2ks. You can then preview the chase by arrowing down away from the <Step> field on the LCD and using the SPEED control to adjust the speed of the chase as required. I hope this helps, let us know how you get on. Kind Regards,
  13. Hi Joe I doubt you'll find a Wireless USB keyboard which reports itself as a normal keyboard to the PS/2 adaptor and therefore to the Frog, however if the adaptor see's it as a normal keyboard then it should, in theory, work. I hope this helps,
  14. Hi Joe Sorry for the delay in response - it's probably best to change the battery as a precaution as this is the biggest cause of a problem like this. Even though the software says it is OK, it is possible that the battery is border line and not reporting correctly. The battery can be changed by any Zero 88 dealer or you can send the desk back to us - please contact Keith (krogers@zero88.com) for details. I hope this helps, Kind Regards, Peter
  15. Hi Stefan In order to maximise the on-screen control space in Phantom ZerOS we have chosen to remove the front panel graphic from the Leap Frog 48 and Leap Frog 96 - the layout of the buttons closely resembles that of the original desks but some buttons have moved in order to best make use of the space available. As you have already identified the name of the button is displayed above the window in the title bar, so it should be pretty easy to identify what each button is. I hope this helps clear things up, Kind Regards,
  16. Hi Glue Man If this is an original Frog desk (with a floppy drive) then you hold down + and - and ENTER to get into SUPER USER. This is the setup area for the desk. If it is a newer Leap Frog desk (with a USB Port) then you press the SETUP key. I hope this helps, Peter
  17. Hi John The Fat Frog in version 10.10 does support virtual intensity parameters. If you email me a copy of the user manual for the fixture, I'll put together a fixture profile for you. peter.kirkup@cooperindustries.com Kind Regards, Peter
  18. Hi Bilderbuch Once again this is indeed a bug (ZOS-2739) - we've identified what has caused it and are working on a bug fix release to solve this problem. Please bear with us on this one - these two bugs crept in without us noticing. If you wanted to go back to 4.4.4, please drop me an email and i'll send you over a link to the software. Thanks, Peter
  19. Hi Mike This sounds like it could be caused by a sticky button on your desk - if the desk thought that you were pressing the flash button of Sub 5 in these popups, this is the exact behaviour you would see. Please contact Keith Rogers (krogers@zero88.com) for information on getting your desk tested and repaired as required. Kind Regards Peter
  20. Hi Mike A profile already exists for the Selador Vivid range - it's under "selador", "x7" in the library. The profile is the same for the Vivid and Paletta fixtures. The colour picker will not work with more than 3 constituant colours at the moment (Red, Green, Blue, or Cyan, Magenta, Yellow). We may expand this in the future. As for the default intensity to 100%, this isn't possible at present - Intensity always defaults to 0% regardless of how you have it set in the profile - this is so that a "Clear" desk with no playbacks active or nothing in the programmer results in a blackout on stage. I hope this helps clear things up - let us know how you get on with the X7s. Kind Regards, Peter

The upgrade kit is basically a new base tray for the desk with a complete new set of processor boards. It needs to be fitted by a relatively skilled technician, if you prefer you can return the desk to one of our dealers or direct to us to have the kit fitted. Contact your dealer or Keith (krogers@zero88.com) for pricing.

Hi Piero The new motherboard is the same one used in Leap Frog 48/96 and Orb, and is fitted with a higher spec processor module (as used in Orb). On the new hardware, Monitor2 has the same graphics capabilities as Monitor1. I hope this helps, Peter
  24. Hi Mason No, that's not how it's meant to work - please download version 5.1 software (just released) which fixes this bug. Cheers, peter
