Set your mac's to mode 4, mine are all set to this and are smooth. 8)

I bought a brand new fatfrog a few days ago running software 8.1,
TO CHANGE CHASE SPEED IN REAL TIME,
1. Transfer memory chase to a sub,
2. Turn flash function button to off
3. Press flash button for the sub the chase is stored on
4. Press edit, you MUST be on the submaster screen
5. About to edit memory appears, press enter
6. Move speed pot to required level
7. Press enter to exit.
Try it, it works I use it the whole time.

I bought a new fatfrog yesterday, while putting it through its paces discovered how to alter the chase speed!
By transfering a chase to a sub you can edit the chase speed in real time.
1. dump chase from memory to sub 1 page one.
2. Turn flash function to off.
3. Select the submasters on the front panel of the desk
4. Press the flash button for the sub with the chase on it
5. Press edit, "about to edit memory" appears.
6. press enter,
7. Move speed pot to required position.
8. Press enter to escape.
This is a brand new fatfrog running o/s 8.1.1, bios 5.1.1 8)

Whats the story with the off line editor, dosent seem to do much apart from unpatchable faders going up & down :?:

How about , entrer channel number on external keyboard and then press "*" on numeric end of the keyboard to bring the channel to full?

Yep! spot on would work fine.

1 to 48 is patched on the desk, now if the theatre number for the ie.. cans on lx4 is 67 through 75 they think!, you have to go into s.user to patch it,come out of s.user then see if 67 through 75 has cought the cans. If not its back in again and patch something else.
But if any number on the 512 dmx could be brought up by using the external keyboard and press enter it would make life so much easier.

What happens when you get into a theatre with over 200 dmx channels and your trying to find those loose par cans you rigged earlier, the theatre crew saying "try 56 or 78" it can get very confusing, jumping in & out of s.user.

Is the any chance that the external keyboard could be used to find channels in theatre suitation, ie.... ch 34 through 45 then move one of the control wheels to bring it up.
Countless times i've been in the suitation trying to find channels in a theatre and going in and out of the super user which is a serious pain. :?:

8.1, I think??. It was'ent my desk.
But as far as i can remember i only edited the chase.

While running a parcan chase the other night I noticed that if I pressed the submaster flash, then edit the chase speed could speed up or slowdown with the nobbie thing.

Yea go for the monitor, would make programming a wee bit less head wrecking. THE BIGGER THE BETTER.

When I record the prism rotating on a mac 250 to the beamshape pallet it works fine...BUT!!.. when I play back a cue and alter the gobo then attempt to insert the prism the gobo drops out.(using pallets)
Now I know that there both recorded onto the beamshape pallet there for is there any way around this without rewriting the personality for the 250+ :?

How about been able to load a screen saver on to the desk to be displayed when the desk is idle for a while, ya know a company logo? :?:

Why not program the lamps to be focused into the memory stack, and make up a remote "GO" button on the end of a peice of cat5 cable( very cheep cable) and use that to trigger the memorys, hence saving you breaking your b**ls running to the desk. Very handy when your on your own. :?

Some venues run the house lights from the desks, hence you have to black the venue out before recording a cue, the noise boys dont like this.
With house lights on a fixture button they wont be recorded unless taged.
This is why I wanted to know how many channels could be patched to the button as some venues use 4/8 channels as house LX. :wink:

Programmed positions for macs on a chase with modifiers set to fade and man. Then dumped chase to a sub. NOW is there any way of ensuring the chase starts at step one as I'm using the step button to move the heads through the various programmed positions, instead of using a whole lot of memorys
