  1. Being dealt with off forum.
  2. Hi Tom, The desk that you have is a Mk1 desk and is already running the latest version of software that is available. It is only the Mk2 desks that have the patch option as they use a differnet processor card to that of the mk1 desks. It is not possible to update a Mk1 desk to a Mk2 as the PCB set is completley different.
  3. Please can you e-mail me on the address below with the desks serial number, willthen be able to date the hardware and be able to help solve the issue.
  4. The above is fine to use, or please see this link. http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=0665180
  5. Email me on the address below and I will go through some things with you.
  6. The T1212MJ is no longer available, you can use the BTA12, BTA16 or BTA24 as replacemnts.
  7. You may find these harder to get hold of now, most of the main component suppliers have stopped doing the linear faders of this type. We can still have stock of these as we use them on the Level 6 DMX desk. They are order code 4415000 please contact your local supplier or our sales dept to obtain a price and to order them.
  8. that is classic symptoms of a battery issue. I would check the condition of the battery and surrounding area just incase. It may have been replaced but if the original had leaked on to the PCB this may be causeing and issue now.
  9. Believe you have also e-mailed me direct, I have made a reply on this to you direct.
  10. Hi Josh, E-mail or give me a call on the on the address/number below will point you in the direction of your closest company to purchase from.
  11. Please email me on the address below so we can check some details on the desk.
  12. Think this is a bios setting issue. Please contact me on the address or Direct Dial number below to take this further.
  13. If you can e-mail me direct on the the address below, with your address I will let you know who your closest repair agents are and give you more info on the desk if you wish to do it your self.
  14. Couple of things that may be causing the battery to drain so quick. The first one is how badly corroded was the battery, had it started to leak on to the PCB? You may have failed components or even a damaged tracks in the battery circuit. It could be the RAM IC gone faulty, and is not going into standby when the desk is powered off so is drawing more current that it should. There is also a HC7400 that the battery is connected to that may have failed and is drawing current. Please e-mail me on the address below to continue the conversation.
  15. Yes that sounds like a problem with the output stage. Possibly have a fault with a multiplexer. If you want to e-mail mail me on the address below I wil go through this further with you.
  16. Hi Jules, think that I have been dealing with this off forum, if not please e-mail me the desk serial number to the address below and we will take it further from there.
  17. If you can use a soldering iron or know some who can then it is possible to replace the fader if you take a little care. Unfortunatley I have found that most of the main (certainly UK) electronics suppliers have stopped doing the 10k linear fader that we are using... 4418000 10K Fader Lin 60mm (Alpha RA6044-201 085C1 B14 01G) It is a part that we still use on current desks so you should be able to pick this up from any of our dealers or even our sales dept direct. PM or email with your details and I will point you in the direction of somewhere to obtain one from.
  18. I think the issue with this may be to do with the switch settings on the back of he preset PCB not being in the correct position. Please e-mail on the address below to talk about this further.

    DMX in problem

Hi Piero, Which version of the Elara are you using, Mk1 or Mk2? Colour of the front panel is the easy way to check, Mk1 is grey, Mk2 is Green.
  20. My best guess is possibly contamination due to age of the carbon pad on the PCB. Please e-mail me on the address below as I can send you some info on this.
  21. Think I may have already talked or e-mailed you about this. If not please contact me on the address below.
  22. The first question to ask is the Level desk running DMX or analogue? If DMX then you would have no problems in using this with a Beta3 dimmer. If it is analogue then it will not interface to a Beta3. Again to using other Dimmer if it is DMX it will control any other DMX dimmer. If analogue you would need to locate a dimmer that will take a 0 to +10v signal. For the mains connection you would need to check out what the current rating and cable used of the actual supply to the socket, as you do not want to over load the spur by adding an additional dimmer. Any of our distributors would be able to advise on installation issues like this. Any more questions please e-mail me on the address below.
  23. Please could you e-mail me on the address below with the desk serial number and your location.
  24. Could you e-mail me on the address below with the desk serial number please. Should be on the bottom panel. I will then go over a couple of options with this for you.
  25. There are few things we can look at but it would but it would help to know what age the desk is. If you could email me on the address below with the desk s/n: which can be found on the rear panel.
