  1. Hi djkev,

basically DMX is a 'serial' data link and a fatfrog has two outputs of the same universe - it´s like a inbuild splitter. The universe A/B labels are useless on frog / fatfrog / leapfrog they have only one DMX 512 universe the bigger mambo and bullfrog desks of frog range have indeed 2 universes of DMX. As Pearl said never connect two desks together on one DMX line. One of the least things to happen is crash the desks DMX drivers.

    F2 is naming submasters,presets,memories

F4 is the group button on the fatfrog

I lost what the F1 and F3 buttons do  sorry

since ver. 9_8 the scroll lock indicates that the enter button will be recognized as a "go"

  2. Hi LuxProDeo,

sounds like the DMX outputsockets aren´t connected to the mainboard.

I never opend our frogs so I can´t really help. I´am very sure that KWR88 or K-Nine are helping you to fix this problem. Just send a PM to them.

    Good luck

    regards

  3. Hi fuze75, welcome to the forum.

    what makes problems exactly ?

Is the studio spot already setted up to a fixture botton ?

are you programming in full or partial mode ?

is your DMX correct wired / patched ?

what software rel. do you run ?

the most things can be found in SuperUser

press + / - and Enter at same time

  4. It was just to get the technical clue behind your updates...

I have seen desk´s with ver 6 on it - so I thought I took my own update disks with me when going across theaters :D

Since I´m in the beta testers group I used every upcoming update software, even if it was beta.

I`m satisfied with ver 9.8 Paul. I had stressed this in another topic.

  5. preemeinent work Zero88 !

All troubles I had once with FR5490 are fixed ! *terrific*

The movement effects engine is working very good.

    Very nice addictional keyboard funktionality.

    Thank you for that.

You guys are great :D :D

    PS:

I checked V9.8 in the last two houres it runs very stable - just to nip any doubts in the bud :)

  6. Thanks again everybody, all ideas were exhausted and the problem was solved by fiddling around with the scene before and using some more generics for the spots to free up the Macs a bit more.

    nothing is impossible though.

    carry on happy frogging:mrgreen:

    @Laubfrosch

Thank you very much... I´ll do my very best.

  7. Hi,

If the snap thing isn´t fast enough you can try to change the phisical positions of your colors / gobos.

Put the triangle gobo next to the open gobo (gobo1) position on gobo wheel

Put your green to the color1 position of your colorwheel.

This trick to get very fast gobo/color exchange - I did it for theater productions.

  8. Hi pscandrett,

please be patient when I misunderstood - I answer you my personal suggestion to get your things work.

Before you program a cuestack you program all LTP presets to your desk. Then begin to plot your show using your pallets - without change anything before its stored. Know while playback the memorys activate the corresponding palette.

In other venue to get position/colour/beamshapes in right order you have to change your palettes only - the memory will activate them.

This is something I've been having trouble with - I thought that it should do this, but last time I tried it I'm sure it didn't. Having reread the manual just now I'm sure that what I'm doing should work (s7-6 in the Mambo Frog manual issue 3) but it doesn't seem to. I'm probably being stupid.

It´s recommended that when using palettes no LTP value is changed while programmed to a memory when you want it to correspondent with palettes

I'm not terribly coherent this evening!

I´m sure that you aren´t the only one being incoherent as I have a little lag in your language - I´m still learning day by day.

  9. Slighly Off Topic I´am sorry Cherobrier:

I'm not often around at this time of night, but I trapped my finger in a car door yesterday, and the pain is keeping me awake

    Indeed a reason being here ... :)

I hope being here could help to take your mind off your pain.

My thumb was trapped by a caselid last night :( so I feel with you.

Zero88´s employees assignment to their product´s is unprecedented.

Ein ganz dolles Lob an alle Zero88 mitarbeiter !!

Just like the good old days with the broom handle for a Grand Master then

better using a broom handle then a hammer

  10. Hi JonHirsh,

There is a answer to all of your questions let me begin at your 1st one:

Q: When doing fly outs whats the fastest way to do this

A: First your desk has to be minimum software release 9.6 (CLICK HERE) then it is possible to have so called n-shot chasers. I assume that a fly out is a 2 or 3 step movement sequenz. program a chase and modifiy the <N-Shot> value to 1. Works very fine for me.

Q:Why is it that when in full or partial mode you cannot take down the lights

A:I recommend that you work in partial mode so it is possible to save fixtures brightness parameters.

Remember to pull down fixtures brightness at the wheel when beginning a show or when program a darkout.

Q:The Fkeys well not that imparitive why do they only work on the desk and not an attached keyboard

A:Indeed the function keys are not routed to the keybord I think this is because some desk of frog series have different functions on this FKeys.

    More discussions to this :HERE

Q:How would anyone busk with this board i just dont see this being possible.

A:Think positive everything is possible

  11. Dear cherowbrier

    after assigning your fixtures

    go into superuser->desksetup->patchfunctions select "manual"

then press first assigned fixturebutton the screen will jump onto f1= then push in via +/- or external keyboard the DMX start address of the unit go to the next fixt. and enter the DMX Start address of this unit and so on.

see also p.58 of the manual
