You could create a fixture that treats the bars as LTP. You could then have as many bars on wheels as you want. You would need to treat them as a beam shape probably. You would have to think a little when programming but it is relatively easy
Hi sp,
please mind that if you use the 'Beamshape LTP' values for generic lights it will be very tricky to dim this lights.

Hi
To me it seems, that some of us are little apologetic to serve their information on www, maybe they are critic to share because it can be abused very easy.
I´m sure Zero88 won´t share any regristration data.
The Frog creators and users are very honest...

Hi,
this error has done near anyone on this forums but the supporters.
Typical starting problems ...

Hi,
Vote me in for one of the northpole cool "ICE88" ones
I love your suggestion Ice but you should ivestigate some more time on the right side of ICE

Hi,
How do I program a chase including some fixtures to change colours without storing the brightness / beamshape / position data ?
My desk works already in 'partial' mode
-
You´re right Laubfrosch,
You can have a colour change chase with movement effects in them, without bothering the movement shape.
Very Cool indeed. 8)
-
there is no reason why you can't put a movement effect on one or more steps of a position chase
Can I run a certain effect i.e. ellipse x 50 / y50 s 5 / through a whole chase ?
have say step 1 change colours to open / red even then step 2 changes color open/ red odd ?? without starting the movement anytime ?
PS. this is more a How Do I question I know , but it arises by reading this thread
-
Hi,
there isn´t a step option on the effects generator.
You can also have nice movement effects without the effect generator !
remembering good old times storing every movement in a chase !
If you want a certain effect set the fixture positions press chase on a free memory i.e 983 be sure every scan you want to store is 'tagged' then press program set pos2 on chase step 2 pos3 on chase step3 and so on
then have a play with chese modifieres:

Hi,
I suggested "speed groups" before elsewhere in forum ( I´am to lazy to have a look )
As DMX256 suggested before to have a pick/copy speed option it would be nice to have a a bounch of speedgroups on submasters.
-
Seemed to be a problem with LTP Fade on chase try to set your Chase to LTPFade=Snap and then decrease MSpeed to ie. 120 on step2 and 3 voila your movers fade throu the audience once.
-
Indeed SP´s right check your wheels first. If they react as they should do you should try to "reload" your fixture file to the desk please be sure that entire show is saved on disk. Then delete all concerned fixtures and reload it from a fresh downloaded fixturefile - this helps me a couple of times hitherto.
If it is your own fixturefile that is responding dull, then please be sure not to set up the "wheel groups" in "Fixture Type Editor" the desk sorts it´s recommended values to the wheels itself.
Hope this helps you !

Dont forget a 100m cable to source power from the main building and OH yeah... we ran a 63A 3 phase from a 13A socket - desprate times...
After 100m 16mm² cable on a single phase 13A ? - the wireresistor is so high that in this case nothing should work proper, on your stage.
I have had a similar event last friday night. A 24 KW lighting rig plus 10KW Audio on one 32A 3 phase with about 130m cable inbetween us and distro. They connected a automated scooter to the same distro despite we were there first and said them not to put any more on that box. Thats why every time the automated scooters began to run ( remember high inductive loads) my lights went down the 50% about 100V powerloose on phase 1 & 3 my fixtures dont like blackout like these so they decided not to work proper the whole evening. All in all it looked worse but nobody noticed it despite me.
At the end of the day there where a couple of frays. Buisness as usual but no security service ! - We take down our set at 7:00 o´clock in the morning after all people was gone.
Last but not least it began to rain on the tick we opend the lorrydoors.

Hi
I said before elsewhere here in forums that I´m prepared to pay 500€ for additional WYSIWYG environment without hardware !
So vote me in to have a WYSiWYG

Ice,
indeed a very nice vagary but how do you stop this chase running ? when a colour chase steps ie. open / red, call a pallet maybe blue/ yellow the chase runs all the time ?
I sugesst that such colour / gobo chasers can be stored on a pallette !
-
Today we found out, that it´s worse to work without power 8O
So my sugesstion today:
a independend power distribution for each desk
-
To be honest, how does that work proper ?
My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerieMy mother was a fifteen year old French duck
There is no question yet why you are "Software Guru"

other suggestion i thought of was perhaps in super user being able to change what level the flash buttons work. As lamps often have a much longer life when not used at 100%, it would be nice to perhaps be able to reduce the flash to, say, 90-95%
You´re right SP but it should be a "dimmer curve" definition for all generic channels. A sudden limitation of channel output to 90-95 % until flash don´t saves lamptime when lamp can run @ 100% by channel fader or have say a fast chaser.
The only thing to do here is to set a lamp preheat and a topset
which can set by nearly every professional dimmer.

I agree to Laubfrosch !
Well, K-Nine i Think I organise a beer for you!!!Sound´s he earns more Beer we could produce in Bremen

Wow - amazing
I didn´t see a moveinglight in a church before
I see that there is a use for If there is a play / show on church but on normal ceremony.
In these parts parochial church councils aren´t very modern - they are little way oldschool.
-
Whats a tone death child?tone death basically means someone who cant sing or hear musical notes. It is often used to describe someone who is awful at singing!
hopefully you don´t mean "deafly" peple rather than a star sarch casting in the first 2 hours
-
in my mind I wouldn´t "play" with the church lights, but to be honest I´d never seen a british ceremony.
Just remember that some people of the crowd maybe little old and myopic
if not dawnblind - keep the lights bright enough that all of the crowd can read their choir book. Decrease it if something happens near the altar like nativity play, christening, Gregorian chant, whatever needs the attention of the crowd.
I´am sure you can ask some people after ceremony about their feelings with the lighting.

Using SMPTE
in Frog Range MK1
Posted
Hi John,
sp is right - you have to buy a SMPTE/MIDI/CAN upgrade for this function of the frog range.
see Infos on Frog range here ...
