Goofy Posted Sunday at 11:47 AM Report Posted Sunday at 11:47 AM Hello I have a question about saving positions in a palette. When I move a moving head to a specific position and change the zoom, and then save it to the Positions palette, it only saves the position, but not the zoom (beam shape). I've tried many options in the Record window, but to no avail. However, if I move to the position, adjust the zoom, and then save it to the position via Update, it includes the zoom. Why doesn't the console save both parameters (position and beam shape) in the Positions palette? Greetings, Goofy Translated with Google from German to English Quote
Davidmk Posted Sunday at 01:52 PM Report Posted Sunday at 01:52 PM On the assumption assumption that you are running ZerOS and the process is similar to ZerOS on FLX... On FLX, after pressing Record you press position again then, in the record options window, you turn off SmartTag, tap/click the Beam button until the stripe is green then you tap/click the pallette you are recording to. The pallette should have the letters B and P on it after recording. The process is described under Advanced Pallettes in the manual. Apologies if this is no help - I've only used FLX, never had the pleasure of an Orb. Quote
kgallen Posted Sunday at 07:00 PM Report Posted Sunday at 07:00 PM When I tried David’s link it wouldn’t show the page as it thought the console was FLX S24. Posting this link just in case the above doesn’t work: https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/palettes/advanced-palettes?filter=3 Quote
Goofy Posted yesterday at 09:53 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 09:53 AM Thanks for your help. Both links worked. I didn't know about pressing the position button a second time...I only have the old manual for the ORB XF from 2011. Next time I'll also look at the manual from the link in your reply. Have a nice week. Greetings, Goofy Quote
Davidmk Posted yesterday at 07:12 PM Report Posted yesterday at 07:12 PM You're welcome. Just pleased I was close enough to help. Sorry about the link - I had it on the screen in Chrome and copied it in, no idea why that didn't work. It's always easier to find stuff in the manual if you already have some idea of how to do it. 😁 Quote

Phone browser weirdness maybe! with the manual I think you *have* to know it’s there somewhere. The Search just doesn’t work for me, it finds too much stuff and too much unrelated stuff… Quote
