  1. Thanks Ed,  I have been playing with palettes for some time now and not come across this issue.  I have set them up separately but they are not being able to be selected independently from the palette.  Baffling me......??

From the point of just adding the new fixtures they appeared in the original palettes when selected.

  2. Hi, I wondered if I can get some help please as I am obviously doing something wrong.

I had a number of position palettes set up for my original 6 movers.  I am now setting up an additional 4 and regardless of just recording them onto a separate position palette the originals are also moving.  The movers (original and new) are the same type with the same fixture profile.

  3. I have 6 movers programmed on my FLX but looking to get 4 more.

I have all the fixture profile attributes added to cue lists so full control of every aspect of them.

Is there a quick way to add identical fixtures. I understand I will have to adjust the positioning palettes but was hoping there is a quick way to get them to respond to the programming already set up.....??

  4. Thanks for this.  On the main issue for me i.e. the lag when selecting various playback pages.  All seems good although I have only used PhantomZerOS at this stage.

On the fixtures turning red i.e. legacy.  What would be the drawbacks of just sticking with the fixture files I have currently please....??

  5. Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way of doing the following on a cue stack.

I have a number of cues on a stack for the control of moving heads and as I flick through I just raise the intensity when I like.

I was wondering if there is a way of reducing the fader intensity to 0 without the cue re-setting i.e. it stays active and all mover attributes remain the same....??

    Thanks in advance as always.

  6. Thanks both, much appreciated.  So as I read it the desk I have is capable of outputting 4 universes to physical output 1 or 2.  The thing is how do I actually do that.  I went into setup>universes and tried what I thought was a logical change but it stayed as was.....??

  7. Hi,  on reading the manual it states 'each of the outputs can be mapped to any of the DMX universes'.

Has anyone done this and how did you do it.  Also am I correct to assume you need to get the Universe Upgrade applied before being able to do so.

    Thanks in advance.

    Updated to 7.9.7

Still doing it.  Attached is show file.

Going between pages with nothing in them is OK.  To demonstrate pages with playbacks in, going up and down between Pages 7 and 14, for instance,  it cannot catch up, and gets progressively worse as you go up, down, up, down.

Hi David, how did you get on....  has 7.9.7 resolved the issue for you...??

  9. Hi Ed, just updated the desk to Beta version and programming over the next couple of weeks.  I will let you know how things go.

PS....  I am assuming V7.9.7 does not include all the current Beta fixes/updates.  Not mentioned on the release notes anyway.

  10. Hi Ed,  thanks for the reply and apologies for the delay.

Yes I would be happy to try out the beta version to see if it makes any difference.

It seems I do not have permission to see the link so I will send you an email for the access as requested.

  11. Hi Ed,   I have just done a show run and this problem came up on numerous occasions.  Unfortunately it spoiled a couple of moments.  Are there any thoughts on why this may be and any fixes ahead please.  For info it is happening on my PC too....???

  12. Hi, this is a problem I have had since upgrading to ZerOS 7.9.6.

It is an intermittent problem but one that can happen just when you dont want it to (as is usually the case)

It is when 'Paging Up' or Paging Down'  I used to be able to do this at speed and most of the time still can but now and then there is quite a lag when changing pages.

Has anyone come across this before please....??

  13. Update......

CH1 controls the mode of the fixture to the following:

    0-62 Blackout

    62-129 Sound Mode

    130-189 Automatic Mode

    190-255 DMX Mode

When using 11 single channels to test CH1 outputs to 255 it outputs as it should do and the various modes are activated according to the value dialled in.

When using the fixture profile -

Blackout effective to 50 then sound mode is selected (as opposed to 62)

Sound mode effective to 100 then automatic mode is selected (as opposed to 130)

Automatic mode effective to 150 then from there no control at all. This is including trying the pattern settings.  Seems CH1 has different values assigned to the 4 modes and in addition although the default value is 255 DMX control is not achieved.

When using the MFF for CH1 on a single channel it works fine....??

    Hi Mac,

Taking a look at this fixture profile, this fixture doesn't have an intensity control. The MFF channel fader on FLX will therefore not do anything.

I am not familiar with this laser, however you may find if you change the Pattern parameter to choose a pattern, the laser outputs the pattern, rather than being off.

The fixture file in the fixture library has no details implemented for what different levels of each parameter does. If you have a version of the manual with details listed for what each parameter does, we will be able to add these in to the fixture file. To do this please send a copy of the manual to FixtureSupport@zero88.com.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know.

Hi Ed,  thanks and I will send the manual through immediately.  Just for completeness I have attached it here also.

  15. Hi,  I am trying to get full control of the subject laser.  I have loaded the fixture file but on bringing up the MMF which should (I think) initiate an output there is none (checked in DMX outputs in System Info).

I set up 11 single channels which operate just fine and show in DMX Outputs.

The fixture file seems fine i.e. CH1 at 255 which is within the DMX control mode channel values.

First time operating a laser with the FLX so just wondering if I am overlooking something obvious please.  I have a show on Thursday and need to get this nailed.

Thanks very much in advance...  !!

    Hi Mac,

We currently don’t have a fixture file for Resolume, but this is something we can create if you send a request to FixtureSupport@zero88.com.

We will need the DMX channel map to do this, which should be available from the Resolume website, which will detail what each DMX control channel does - this will also give you an indication of how complex and how many parameters this includes.

This will be as simple as recording a playback on FLX with a Start and Stop cue - both of which will be accessed via one of the Resolume fixture’s control parameters.

I may be wrong, but I believe browser forum notifications are triggered when you are quoted in a post, not just when there is a reply.

If you have any questions let me know.

    Edward

Thanks Ed, I will do a bit of research.......
