  1. You could also alter your P/T speed for the first step (this is not the chase speed) I often change the P/T speed to give 'movement times' to my position-pallet eg: pallet #1: position A with P/T speed set to 0 -> as fast as possible to pos. A pallet #13: position A with P/T speed set to 60 ->to pos. A in 5 seconds pallet #25: position A with P/T speed set to 100 ->to pos. A in 10 seconds depends on what fixtures you're using.
  2. The only lighting in Belgian churches are candles!!! Think I have to talk to the local priest!
  3. You don't have to lock your pallet all the time just hold position and then press the disired pallet number. the other issue: why do you have to take down the brightness?
  4. got it, but don't think i could do it again!

    pallets crash

Have this one almost every show, the saving-screen on your monitor disappears, but on the LCD-screen you can still see: "saving show 100% please wait." Just reboot your desk and it should work fine again.
  6. 1: The perform500 version doesn't exist anymore! 2: The Wyg-it box converts the dmx-data, has nothing to do with a dongle! 3: it is possible alright, if you've got the time and money. 4: Yes you can, but I would rather program at the venue so the client or the band can change things the way they want to instead of programming at home four hours and then have to listen to the client or band's nagging: Don't like that,...would rather have this look..., could you do that,.... It's not always how you want it to look! But who cares, this is a Frog forum, not a visualiser-forum!
  7. Forget about the visualiser, it is very, very expensive!!! Wysiwyg Perform System: 3500€ Wyg-It 2 box (2) : 2200€ This is only the software! Xeon 3.2 GHz , 2MB, 1200€ x2 because 1 is to slow: 2400€ 3D-labs Realizm200 512MB videocard: 1500€ 20" flatscreen x 2: 2000€ I've bought all this in the past 16 months! And my system is still slow! I don't regret that i bought all this, but if now I could choose to do it all over then I would get myself a Frog2! You can sell your frog after a few years if you want, but nobody is going to buy your crappy old computer! And for offline programming, it is not possible to get the exact same rig on location as you get on your screen. Connecting the desk to the visualiser is ideal for creating different looks, and maybe to program some colorchases, but not the entire show.
  8. Another question, you copy memorie 1.6 to 2.5, later that day you change 1.6. Will memorie 2.5 be affected or doesn't it use 1.6 as a reference?
  9. And how much time would it take to program it? As an novice/advanced user.
  10. So it will be possible to do the following: Move from A to B in 10 seconds, after five seconds turn color from red to green with a 2 seconds transition time, after nine seconds change gobo. Move in black and restart cue. :?:
  11. You could also use some "barbe-wire" gobos on the backdrop. Just to create the idea of a prison instead of making it look like a prison.

    Loading times

I think the onboard memory is too small to keep record of all changes. Saving a large showfile takes already enough time.

So if you clear your pallettes, the memories made with those pallettes won't change? And if you reprogram the pallettes, then the memories will change? Right or wrong?

It's mostly me who crashes at midnight, not the desk
  15. i've got 4 Clay Paky hmi 1200 HPE scans in flightcase: 1500€ /piece
  16. Is there already a manual ready to download?
  17. what kind of fixture is it? Brand, model?
  18. Hi X-terminator I completely agree with what you're saying! What you could do is use the solo function, have a few easy scenes programmed on the subs, put the flash-function into solo, hit and hold the disered sub, and change the parameters. One problem, you will have to choose: Use conventional lighting for the break, then set your parameters for the automated fixtures and on the climax, let the flash button go. Or you could use a few automated fixt. for the break and the rest you can with the climax. What I also often do is program a simple two step chase, first step: slow movement, dark colors, second step fast movement, strobe , white, .... set the trigger to manual and transfer it to a sub. When you have the climax just hit the step button to alter the scene, and then you can always change B,C,P.
  19. Have got Wysiwyg, have got Autocad and I can help! What's the problem?
  20. maybe you can buy the Swisson DMX-tester which is also a remote, one problem, NOT wireless. But it is a very nice tool, you can use it as a cable tester, send dmx-values and if you connect it to your desk you can see which channels it is outputting. And this for only 200€. www.swisson.com

    Losing subs

check the battery inside the desk, this should do it.
  22. could you please explain how and what you've programmed on the sub.
  23. Saw on the Z88-site that the Frog2 is RDM and ACN hardware ready. I know what RTFM means , but what about RDM and ACN? :?:
