Hi Bright Spark If you want to combine architectural and DMX you should also have a look at our Chilli Range of dimmers. With the Pro versions you can have a standard architectural lighting system complete with wall panel control that is over riden when DMX is present.

Hi There isn't a way to change it on the desk. You can usually change the setting on the light however. Check it's manual.

Hi Sam It would depend on your experience. It would not be a simple transition there would be a learning curve. A lot would depend on your experience of bigger desks. As to rental companies....immediatly we would hope! Usually there is a wee lag. Graham

About a 1/3 of the cost of the desk! It was made by DHA they same way they make Gobo's by etching. It was done as a special for a trade show. Not going to be a general production type item.

Hi We provided Martin with A Frog quiet a while back so they could test all their fixtures. I believe that they have solved all outstanding issues. Will see if I can contact them and find out more. Anyone else having problems with Kryptons? Graham

Sam If you are doing big fades between say a red and blue wash then sometimes it is best to use a split cross fade, say 3 sec up and 5 sec down. It will also often depend on the dimmers and the lamps on them. Sometimes the curve can mean a light fades out before the one fading in has reached a similar level. Play with the times. Graham

Ice We will continue to support the original Frog range in the future. It will be more than simple bug fixes and we will continue to add features that we can and which are relevant. We may even have a new Frog addition in the new year to further add to the range. It would have some of the things being asked for that we can't achieve easily with the current user interface. We sell too many Frogs not to continue supporting and developing it. Yes for the next couple of months the focus is on Frog 2 but once it is shipping we will I promise come back to the current series. Early next year means just that, not July or August. Graham

Hi Ice I am interested that you don't think we will be able to compete with an Avolite console. We do quiet well with them at the moment. If people are hooked into a certain way of thinking you won't change that. That said the desk offers a different way of doing things to a Pearl. It works like a Hog in many ways but has things like unfold that you get on a Pearl. Bottom line is try the desk, if it works for you then great if not also great. Price will be around what a Pearl is. Features I believe will be comparable or more. For a long time people in the forum have been asking us to make a desk to compete at this level. We have, wait till you can try it. If people weren't prepared to consider options Celco would still be dominant along with Avolite, Flying Pigs would never have built Hog 2 or 3 and GrandMa would still be a dream. There is room for different desks in the market. K Nine is right, for a small show why change? If you have 30 fixtures then it is worth looking at changing. If you want to program to parameter level then it is worth changing. If you want a full effects engine then it is worth changing. If you want to be able to swop a Mac 500 for a Cyberlight for instance it is worth changing. The feature set and the hardware we are putting together can't come at the same price as a current Frog. Sorry. We are already making slight changes to the software from initial feedback. Wait for your first demo.

Hi Richard You can use external touch screen monitors. We will be offering an upgrade kit to build them into the console. Ice, I am sure you will be able to get the effects that you will require without motorised faders. As with buttons with text in them we could put motorised faders on the desk but we are trying to keep the price at a level that will attract users. All the consoles that have motorised faders are at least twice the price of the Frog 2. You may need to think slightly differently but I am confident that you will be able to busk a show easily on this desk.
