not got any on site at the mo. Its more for guest companys. How do you create a virtual brightness channel then. Its quite likely that we will be told we need it 5min before the show.....

I’ve come into contact with a lot of LED stuff, and it's really starting to :twisted: **** off, due to the fact there is no brightness channel.
So I have been thinking about how this could be solved, would it be possible to make a virtual brightness. i.e. the virtual brightness channel is at 100% r @ 100% g @ 100% b @ 90%. when the virtual brightness channel is at 90% r @90%, G @ 90%, b @80...... you get my drift?

You can only save/open to cd or flash. Why not on the pc?

I totaly agree with.....
" you don't have to make the Front panel Windows look exactly like the physical console. It might be better, to optimize the visual look to usability (e.g. make the buttons bigger (and readable), even if they were not "1:1" then) "

after looking at the manual i thought if i pressed active and a udk/udf it would load the data into the prog window. so i can edit the date then update it. However this does not work (software 2.03)> how do you edit data in a udf/udk.
Also how come page holdover if active works on the playbacks but not on udf?

Artistic are in the process of writing a driver so that wyg see's artnet. Or look at my thread on the enttec usb widgit if you need a cheap way of getting frog 2 or any dmx desk working with wyg.

Spoke to artistic, they say they're having probs with cast...... So it might not ever happen.
But if you looking for a cheap way of doing it....Buy a cheap enttec usb interface £30, check their support forum, and it tells you how to make it work with wyg.

Im prob being stupid, but i dont get the fade in/out times on the frog 2.
I want cue 1 to fade in with 5sec and fade out in 20sec
cue 2 fades in in 5 secs, while cue one is fadeing out in 20sec.
this is what i did
cue 1 fade 5/20
cue 2 fade 5
but cue 1 does not fade out in 20. Am i doing it wrong :oops:

Been looking through the manual and have found little on the midi side of things. I was wondering when midi is gona be done on the desk, and if i can ask for a feature which will be of great use to me, and im sure for some others who are getting into show control.
Il explain my set up. digital sound desk (states can be called up by midi commands), PC running emagic logic (markers play audio and video).
What i want to be able to do on the frog 2, is to use the go buttons to trigger midi i.e. when a cue is outputed. it sends out midi program change commands.
Any chance of this happing? could really do with it by mid summer.
Looking at the Pearl, when you shove midi into the desk it allows notes to control playbacks.
Sine the frog 2 playback is advanced then the pearl, could this happen.....
Assign midi channel to a stack, and then every time a note is received i.e. a c. it triggers the cue. Or assign a midi note to a cue.
Time code great, but in a life situation it not the best, and the midi note/commands come a massive help.

The old sirus 500 offline editor, was one of the easiest of line editor for a desk......we dont have to able to push a fader uo or down, just record or edit whats in it......

On the pearl there is a "LTP Wait - Delay before the LTP channels start to move", which is something i've always thought was missing on the FROG 1's.
If the FROG 2 has this it will make my day:-) so........
has the frog 2 got a LTP WAIT (delay)time??
If not.. please, please, please. please add it before you send out the new desk!!!

Will the desk come with a SMPTE/MIDI/CAN, or will this be a add on? and will it have a dmx in? or allow ausb dmx interface to be added such as the enttec open usb widgit?

Just bought a 32channel sound desk
but it means that we cant fit both the sound desk and the lx desk in our new control room. So looks like were gona sell our bullfrog :cry: It exactly one year old, in a flightcase, well looked after, were looking for around £2300...will consider offers!!

I aint posted on here in ages :? :roll: but ive got an idea, well actual its of another companys desk but i thought it would be very simple in terms of user interface 2 acheive this. MASKING
How many of u have had a fixture go nutts or get un-focus and nicely blind the audience, then have to go through every mem to remove then to re add it later when ya sorted it!!??? well wat if u held the channel flash button/fixture button and blackout at the same time, this selection of buttons will set those dmx channels to 0.
how would we know its been masked? well on the vga the channel could be a different colour? and the LED in the flash buttons flash very fast?

Ive been programming really nice chase patterns with the theatre stack with auto and jump..what i would love to see is to be able to make this one memory. ie select mem number, press F3 and CHASE/SCEEN, then a window similar to the theatre stack opens, dont have to have name, or trigger type, just fade in/out times.....so we get individual fade times for a chase:-)

two things i think the desk should have.........LTP fade Out/in/wait Time, Real Blind Program, which is easy to get 2.

Im finding that my encoder wheels are locking ie can move the wheel and nothing happens, choose "what ever button goes to the next page" and it works,

just wondering does the desk already do these and how long the break in the dmx timing is, coz ive found that there seems to be a delay from
telling the desk wat 2do, and the actual fixture do it.
please note cable length per run 20 meter
dmx splitter used
all terminated
max 10 fixture on each chain
dont have this problem when im using a pearl 2000 on the same setup?

Right i've got a few ideas:
* a submaster master fader!!!!
* cueline (im talking more about cueline from the sirus500, it would be great to play back multiple brightness states)
* LCD window above the submaster, displaying names of each sub!!
* AUTO Pallet

First of all i think cueline should work in the same manor as the sirus500..i.e LCD display states "you need a mointor for this function", inless u can ingeat a mointor into the desk?
when i bought the sirus500, a few years ago, the thing that made me wamt it was, the simple yet effective graphics i.e. the size of the momevment effect...going into stage mode and actual seeing a dot follow the shape, rather then some useless DMX values
Also please, please, please can the name of the dmx vaule be displayed like the sirus500..i.e. colours names, gobos etc... it was fantastic when programming blind.
Advance chases....ok what i would love to see is...indivdule fade in/wait times on a each step of the chase... so basicly u could still have the basic chase ooperation found on the frog, however have a advance chase memory.....
be nice to select generic fixtures and control there level via the wheels......
erm....yeah..excuse the spelling..aint slept in 3days...duck uni

Submasters!!! loads 20, on pages, some way a visual displaying the name above, roller page. LCD....
think you should keep with some faders for generics and movers, i liked having control of a moving fixture brightness on a fader.. i like the pearl method of doing this...pages of brightness faders....
Stage mode would be great. espically cool if u could draw ur stage shape, and mark where ya fixtures r...
i think most importantly, u should offer a deal on the price on the super desk, 2 your customers on here
o...and please, please, not green!!!!!!!! its looks hmmmmm

if you do bring out a new desk...i'm more more then willing to be a beta tester:-)
one thing, which would be really useful, is a LCD along the sub, stating the sub.name!! in the long term it would save thousands :? on PVC tape!! also helping the Environment!!!!! :?:
if you are gona bring out a desk similar to the pearl level...ur gona have to make ya desk cheaper then the pearl..coz d pearl does a lot and comes with visualisation, and there's a lot of ld's + desk ops who will buy/hire a pearl..coz it the indutry standard "Live" desk. :oops:
sirus 500 spare parts...any offers?

In the back of a store room i have a beaten up sirus500. Basicly most the faders got damaged by students or became dirty. We couldnt be arsed to resolder on new faders, so if any one needs spare parts or would like to try and fix it. It for sale....any offers???
