  1. i used all 48 pallets on gobos and positions....its a lot quicker to program a pallet then creating mems...and a lot easier to call back...

yes people are using them for live-playback...lots of other desks do!

thus why i personally think there should be subpallets..i.e. hit brightness and to be able to store c/b/p on a pallet....this would allow good playback and also allow improve programming....but is zero88 gona be making the desk better (which must be very difficult coz its already great :D ) or...work on a new desk aimed at ppl who need more control?

  2. yeah...but... the bullfrog has 96 channels and 24 fixtures...so a screen dump would not show all the data..it would also cost a bomb to print it out.....i assume the the patch, date is stored to a internal file..i program in c++ and vb..and well it exactly hard to make it print!! ]

and b**tch frog just crashed and i didnt save my show :?

  3. -where would those pallets be located =same place your already place pallets (depends on the fixture i.e/..how many gobo's ).

    - what exactly would you place there? = if you look at some of the fixture files, specifically on details. u will find things like 001 - gobo 1 etc...

These fixed values could be transferred onto the pallets...This also means that zero88 would not have to upgrade the offline editor, as the gobo/colour values can all ready be entered. (yep not all fixtures have these details, but when I used the sirus I used to always have to redo them coz they were usually wrong, but its only a 5min job to do this!)

    - consumes space = yep, but its optional, i.e. when u patch the fixture it will say auto pallet <no><yes> also you can record over the created pallets if you wish.

  4. I think the updates u have done are great, massive improvement to the desk. But i agree with Kirkup_xp about Direct programming of chases onto subs.

its a waste of time, having to create your chase then transfer it across, and now that u aloud more advance features to the subs, wouldn’t it be thr next logical step?

  5. what about a select all pallets kinda function?...let me explain.........

rather then having focus submasters...what about this..

u program a look on pallet 1 on each attribute. colour/beamshape/position..

then if you select brightness and select pallet one it will output...all colour/beamshape/position record on pallet 1...

it could work both ways. i.e. create a look involving all attributes, record it to brightness pallet 2, however if the colour attribute is selected it will only output the colour??????????

  6. not sure if this is a bug or just how the desk works but it driving me mad!!!

how come when u fade out a submaster with a movement effect, the movement effect does not stop?

anybody else find this annoying?..... since on the next update your changing the way in which subs work, could you please have a look at this?

  7. i take it you made a pallet with just the prism function? i.e. You have a gobo up...then u want to add a prism to it live....

Well unfortunately the frog desks cant do this........u cant do a partial memory/pallet of an individual parameter of a fixture…….

  8. a new wish list.......

    Next update looks great!!

But since u may be bored, when u finish it...i thought i'l give ya some suggestion...."yeah, i'm bored", which would make the desk even better

    * Change the colours on the mointor display....it does strain the eyes a fair bit...white on black, with green and purple....would be better with a grey background like the illusion

    * a Live/run display on monitor (does not actual need to show anything on the lcd and it can be a read only display on the VDU)

    * Focus subs "availible via locking brightness"....from the guys a avolites "Preset Focuses can contain more than one Attribute" well they think its a good idea!!!!

    * OFF- i.e. 3mins b4 a show u my find a parcan has melted through its mains cable :-s havent got time to unpatch it...may not be able to in some places...so basicly u can tell the desk not to output any dmx to that parcan....

    * Tracking- k lots of people have asked for some easy method of moving a fixture live...well graphics tablet...so we can mark focus positions on it? so basicly we would need a "stage mode like on sirus500" so that the fixtures all go to the same place on stage.......(yeah this is a big suggestion, but it would be really nice)

    * and if ya really bored and you have a change of heart..individual channel programming :?

    * dwel/wait time for fixtures

Anybody got any other "wish list Ideas"?

  9. Exactly that’s why I mentioned the sx buttons on the other frogs....if we have a combination of sx and subs...It would give us so much flexibility...

Surly it can’t be that difficult to re-write the block of program code that allows sx buttons on the mambo...to work on the other frogs??

    U already said

"Using the Brightness button to change the channel flash buttons to SX buttons probably would work, as far as outputting the SX buttons goes"

    And

"would also need an SX button like on the Mambo Frog" F4 will do the job!!!

If we had a poll on this (sx buttons, and the above method of accessing it)....and most users like the idea...would u consider it?

I've got say when the next update comes out..I’l be more then happy :-)...

will the offline editor be updated?

  10. 1. on a submaster I have programmed a effect with 2 * 918's and 2 * 518....

if i then select a beam shape pallet "strobe" it will only change 2 that 4 a sec b4 changing back 2 the sub...???

    2. when I'm in a rush I usually will just program my scenes with generics...then go back later and add the fixtures....however after adding the fixture the monitor display don't show C/B/P.....I think that when you edit a fixture onto a sub which didn't have it originally....something weird also happens??

  11. well, what if some one uses a hires a mabo frog...but the next time he/she hires...that get a bullfrog coz they need real faders.....2 discover that there's no sx????

Therfore the range is not consistent....

couldn't a function button (or combination be used)?

and i'm sure that some of the first frog desks didn't have a home button (or something)...those desks ended up using the function buttons for it?
