Manual changes during a show - Clear - Blackout - return to Playbacks

Recommended Posts

With FLX S24
Version 7.14

I had programmed an run a show using playback on faders, which has worked out fine.

During the show for a special scene it became necessary to manually change
the position  and colour of the moving heads
using the CHANNEL mode.

Returning back to the PRESET mode,
I could run/follow the next presets, but after the last preset, I could not get an complete blackout.
The manual setting remainded.

a) What is the easiest way to get a complete blackout in such a situation?

b) Is there a better way to perform manual changes during a show using preset?

I use a FLXS48 for most shows and run most shows from Master Playback which allows the desk to stay in Channel mode. If I make a change to side lights colour during a cue using channels control, I can save changes using Update > Master Playback or discard changes made by tapping Clear twice when I go onto the next Master Playback cue.

If I am using my FLXS24, I use a laptop as external monitor so I can use the laptop to see the Faders screen for better viewing and control. I have a touch screen laptop.

If you have made edits to intensities manually, they will be displayed in red in the Output window. These values will need to be cleared to allow your cues to output as recorded. You could enable "Programmer Time", so that double tapping CLEAR fades the fixtures to their cue values, instead of snapping them. See here for more information...

Hope this helps.
