Getting error messages on boot so looks like I need to replace the battery. I found this topic in Orb section Battery Replacement which seems to have a good suggestion. Can't find if it's been actioned or do we still need to email support?

NB - my old iPad won't display the Solution drawing .DWG file from website - maybe a PDF version?

Cheers

It’s probably a CR2032 or similar coin cell? It you feel competent to do the job the go ahead. What is worth researching is which screws to remove to get access as usually it’s not all of them (for example on Frog desks it’s just two screws required to be removed not all 20).

For screws:

(These are both available from the ORB Product Page: https://zero88.com/control/orb)

Once you're inside, you should easily see the CR2032 battery on the main processor board (the board screwed to the bottom of the console)

Jon I think the guy has a Solution rather than Orb, but couldn’t open the DWG file for Solution. I could be wrong, sorry if so.

If you are receiving a “Non-Volatile RAM” error, this indicates the battery needs replacing.

To open the console, remove the screws in the diagram below..

The front panel can then hinge away from the base - be careful not to tug any ribbon cables. The CR2032 coin cell can then be replaced.

Do feel free to email support@zero88.com if you need assistance.

Hope this helps,

Edward

Apologies, you're completely correct - I was on my mobile and didn't notice that minor (!) detail. As usual, ignore me and read what Edward says 🙂
