  1. Hi Sven, Internally, yes. We’ve had many internal beta versions that we’ve been testing. There is no release date as of yet. Edward
  2. Hello, To delete multiple cues from a playback, tap DELETE -> Z/Shift -> type the cue number you wish to get rid of. This numpad has Thru and And buttons, which can be used to delete a range or multiple cues. Tap the Playback’s flashing button to complete the command. You can save your show file to USB, which you can then load into PhantomZerOS. PhantomZerOS can be downloaded for free from our website which will emulate FLX S. You can then edit your chase, save your show, and load it back into FLX S using USB. Hope that helps, Edward
  3. Hello, ZerOS 7.9.5 was previewed at PLASA this year, which brings many new features, including new auto- effects and a re-worked engine. New Fixture Library is still in the pipeline. Currently Zero 88 Fixture Library 36 contains over 8,000 fixtures, so hopefully you shouldn’t come across missing fixtures too often. Hope this helps, Edward
  4. Hello, After programming your chase onto a playback, enter the chase’s settings by holding SETUP + tap it’s button, and then choose General -> Button Function -> Go. The playback button will then act as a play button for the chase. SHIFT + GO by default will be GO Snap, meaning you can snap into a chase cue. As Kevin has linked to, PhantomZerOS is free to download from our website, which allows you to emulate FLX S24 on PC. You can edit and create show files, save them on PC, which you can then load into your actual console. Hope that helps, Edward
  5. Hi Martin, Thanks for your comments. We have had an increasing amount of requests to configure individual playbacks so they won’t get recorded into cues. We will be looking to implement this in future. Currently one option is to turn off SmartTag, where no playbacks will be recorded into cues, and the second option is to record your House Lights at full to a UDK. You can then configure it to latch, and then also record an inhibit playback for the house lights that you can then use to control their level. Any queries let me know. Edward
  6. Hello, Yes it is available on the beta tester's forum at the moment. Please send an email to support@zero88.com with a request to gain access to the beta software (ZerOS 7.9.4.7), and one of the team will be able to arrange this for you. We have had a lot of positive feedback on this beta regarding Solution performance enhancements. Any queries let me know. Edward
  7. Hi Martin, To remove a fixture from a cue, go into the cue you wish to edit, and select the fixture you wish to get rid of. Then tag any of the fixture's parameters you wish to remove. If you just want to remove a fixture's intensity, tap Z, and tap the middle encoder button for Intensity; "Tag [Intensity]" will be displayed in the command line. Then tap UPDATE -> disable SmartTag -> choose Remove -> press ENTER or your Playback's button to complete the command. Doing this you have told the console to remove any tagged parameters from the cue. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  8. Hi Martin, After accidentally updating a cue and adding house lights in, when in tracking mode this update will track through until the house lights are next used. Therefore your easiest way to get rid of them is go back into the cue you accidentally updated, select your house lights and turn them off, and again do a tracking update to remove the house lights from subsequent cues. You could in fact be in any of the cues the house lights are now accidentally on in, as when you turn them off and tap UPDATE, you can choose your tracking from the Update Options, such as Track Forwards, Backwards or Both. In Blind mode you cannot remove data from a cue, however you can edit. Therefore in Blind you can load in a cue, select the fixture you want to get rid of, @., and then tap UPDATE to save. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  9. Hi Matthew, FLX S consoles have not been designed to be connected to the Internet. There is no reason why the network setup you describe wouldn't work, but could reduce stability of FLX S and introduces the risk of security threats. Feel free to drop me an email if you'd like to discuss your system further. Any queries let me know, Edward
  10. Hello, If you are not seeing an option for Grand Master when you enter the Master Playback's settings, tap DELETE -> then tap the Master Playback's button. You can then hold SETUP and tap its button, and in these special settings displayed on the internal touchscreen you should see an option for Grand Master. Choose this, and click OK. When using the Master Playback for a Grand Master and Blackout, you will be able to use it to control the overall intensity of the console regardless of whether you're in Channels or Playbacks fader function. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  11. Hi Matthew, The DVI-D monitor output on the FLX S48 has a 1024 x 768 resolution that cannot be configured. The Remote devices shouldn't be pixelated. How are these connected over the network? What iPad and iPhone models are you using? Any queries let me know. Edward
  12. Hello, Please send an email to FixtureSupport@zero88.com, along with a copy of the fixture's manual, and one of the team will be able to make a fixture file for you. You will then be able to copy this to USB, plug into your FLX S48, and load it in. You'll then be able to patch the fixture in the usual way. Any queries let me know, Edward
  13. Hello, Regarding your Chauvet fixture, the Shutter is defaulting to Off. Defaults cannot currently be configured on FLX S, however they can on other ZerOS consoles. You can therefore send us an email to FixtureSupport@zero88.com with a request to customise this fixture's defaults. One of the team will then be able to send you a revised fixture file for you to load into your FLX S. The other option is save your show file to USB, and plug into a PC running PhantomZerOS. If you run PhantomZerOS as FLX rather than FLX S, Defaults can be edited. Therefore choose FLX from the drop down, click Go, and once loaded hold SHIFT + F10 -> Load File -> Choose your show file from USB. Then select your Chauvet fixture(s), tap BEAM until you see "Strobe" on the encoders, tap the middle encoder button and then choose "Open". You can then hold SHIFT + RECORD -> tap HOME -> Choose Defaults. Then tap (Z) -> Save Show, and these changes will be saved to USB. You'll then be able to load this edited show file back into your FLX S, where the strobe will default to open. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  14. Hi Alex, Gobo images are stored in the fixture personality. Therefore this will need to be edited to implement the images. This is something you can do yourself if you wish, using our Fixture Tools software available to download here... https://zero88.com/forum/files/file/10-fixture-tools/ Alternatively, send a request to FixtureSupport@zero88.com along with the fixture's manual, and one of the team will be able to add these images and send you a new version of the fixture file. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  15. Hi Philip, It depends on the dimmers the moving head is being powered from. If the dimmers are like our Chilli Bypass dimmers, each dimmer channel has a switch to bypass the dimmer circuity, thus turning into a normal protected mains circuit. If however they are standard dimmers, such as our Betapacks for example, even when the channel is at 100% the channel outlet is still supplied via the dimmer circuitry, resulting in a messy AC sine wave. This can damage power supplies expecting a normal sine wave supply, and can prove catastrophic if accidentally dimmed. It does also depend on the moving light- some moving lights have 2 power inputs, one for control circuity and one for lamp power, so existing dimmers can be used. This is not common though. Therefore it depends on the situation, but in most cases no, moving head power should not be supplied from a dimmer channel. Edward
  16. Hello, For training and demonstrations we use Capture visualisation software. There is a demo version available to download from our website, that you can try for free... http://support.zero88.com/1004254221 The full version of Capture is on a complexity level similar to WYSIWYG, however both are fairly easy to get to grips with thanks to having online tutorials. Unfortunately I am unaware of any cheap basic visualisation software packages. Edward
  17. Hello, Thank you for the information. Does this issue seem to be present with all the movement effects, or just horizontal line? Have you any other fixtures in your setup, if so do they show the same issue with this effect? To confirm smooth data is being sent from the console, tap Z/Shift -> System Information -> DMX Outputs. When this effect is running across these fixtures, are the Pan values smoothly changing? If so, are you able to reset the fixture or just its P/T motors, and see if this solves the issue? Edward
  18. Hello, I haven't seen this before, the effects use a waveform engine to smoothly "chase" between parameter values. Are you using 8bit Pan and Tilt on a fixture with a long throw distance? In which case you may be seeing physical stepping between DMX values. If you tap "No Effect", and then tap Horizontal Line again and slow it down does this show the same issue? What Speed value on the encoder wheel do you find you start to see this stepping? Any queries let me know. Edward
  19. Hello, Currently FLX S consoles will always boot into Channels fader function. In a future software update, there will be an option to choose the fader's function on startup. The full-size FLX does this already as part of its Recovery Mode. Any queries let me know. Edward
  20. Hi Martin, Ah right no currently there isn't a shortcut for Preview. With SmartTag disabled and all attributes deselected, no information will be recorded for any parameter, so no changes or zeros stored. Any queries let me know. Edward
  21. Hi Martin, Really glad to hear you got on well using FLX in anger for the first time. In response to your queries, the shortcut to enter Blind mode is SHIFT + (Z), you can then tap (Z) to leave Blind mode and go back to Live. To record a blank cue with a defined number, ensure you have a blank stage, and simply tap RECORD, and then type the cue number you wish to store in as. You can then tap the playback’s button you wish to store onto, or you can tap NAME, to give this cue a name into the currently viewed playback. If you wish to record a blank cue whilst having information in the programmer or whilst other cues are running, tap RECORD, ensure SmartTag is disabled (has a blue stripe on its button), and then ensure all the attribute buttons along the bottom of the Record option menu are deselected. If any of the attributes have a red stripe, tap them twice, to make them blue. You can then type your cue number, and choose the playback, and no information will be stored in the cue. Hope that helps, any further queries just let me know! Edward
  22. Hello, We have not come across any of these issues before. Could you confirm the software version running on your FLX S48? You can find out by tapping Z/Shift -> System Information, it should be either 7.9.4 or 7.9.4.3 1- When the FLX S48 boots correctly do you receive any errors? If you tap Z/Shift -> System Information -> System Text, are there any errors reported? 2- Is it only the faders that stop responding? Is it only when in playbacks? If the faders stop in both channels and playbacks tap Z/Shift -> System Information -> Event Monitor, are there any values displayed when you move the faders? 3- Does it seem the playback has stopped working? Are you sure it is triggered? Does power cycling solve the issue? I would recommend going back to the Zero 88 distributor you bought the console from and report these issues, and they’ll be able to arrange repairing or replacing. Any queries let me know. Edward
  23. Hello, Great glad to hear that solved your issue. If you have any further queries just let us know. Edward
