  1. Hello, This doesn't sound like anything to worry about. During the boot sequence the screen will turn on and off before the initialisation text runs. FLX S consoles should take around 30 seconds to boot. If you have any queries let me know. All the best, Edward
  2. Hello, Great glad to hear you found the articles useful. If you have any other queries just let us know. Edward
  3. Hi Tim, Yes that’s correct. The fixture editor software requires raw values, and therefore for 16bit parameters this is a value of 32,768 for 50%. The reason the fixtures go back to 0,0 when playbacks are released, is also due to not having 50/50% pan and tilt home values in the fixture file. Unless you modify the fixture file, you will also have to update the console’s default values. For more information on this, take a look at the article below for adjusting home values... http://support.zero88.com/1011411491 For editing defaults see here... http://support.zero88.com/1011707631 Hope this helps, if you have any queries let me know. Edward
  4. Hello, OK no worries. If you have any queries let me know. Edward
  5. Hi Jimbo, I have loaded your show file into Phantom ZerOS and have taken a look. I can't seem to recreate the issue you are seeing. I have gone into cue 5 from cue 4, and also cue 13.5 from cue 13, and the 5 min cross fade runs correctly. Adding in Auto After or Auto With triggers on cues 4 or 13.5 also results in a smooth crossfade running from the previous cue, without the whole stage going dark. Could you confirm it is these cues? Edward
  6. Hi Piero, Hold SETUP and tap COLOUR, and choose RGB. Hope this helps, Edward
  7. Hello, Yes a copy of your show file may be handy to take a look at what is going on. From the picture it shows all except fixture 3 displayed in yellow. This means their intensity is being controlled by a UDK, they are Highlighted, or their intensity default values have been changed. More on Output Window colours can be found here... http://support.zero88.com/1011707591 UDK data and playback data will be mixed HTP, and therefore as they are at 100% this will be output. All the best, Edward
  8. Hello, Is there another playback set to Inhibit these fixtures? If so this will be causing you problems unless it is raised to full. Were the other fixture's intensities sourced from another Playback, if so ensure SmartTag is enabled and try updating the playback. Feel free to send us a copy of your show file to support@zero88.com, and one of the team will be able to take a look. Edward
  9. Hi Eric, Great, thanks for letting us know. One of the team will take a look shortly. Edward
  10. Hello, Kevin has linked to some really helpful articles, which should hopefully point you in the right direction. As Kevin has mentioned, this sounds like some configuration in Playback Settings is causing you these issues. In the majority of cases, you should be able to leave the playback settings in their defaults and the console will work as expected. To manually Release a playback and stop it running, you can hold CLEAR and tap its button. The console should automatically release the playback when you lower the fader. If not, in the playback settings under Raise & Lower, Release on Lower has been disabled. This sounds like the Intensity Mixing of your playback has been changed to Inhibit. Again, another instance of Inhibit. You may find the article below useful, which discusses Inhibit... http://support.zero88.com/1077997011 Potentially you have disabled Trigger on Raise, meaning the playback won't run when the fader is raised? Hope this helps, you are welcome to email a copy of your show file to support@zero88.com, and one of the team will be able to take a look and talk you through what may be causing the issues. If you have any queries let me know. Edward
  11. Hello, Great ok thanks for letting me know. (You seemed to have created a duplicate post which I have deleted.) Edward
  12. Hello, Interesting, can’t think of any reason this may be happening. Please could you attach your show file the problem is present in, and list the cues that are causing the issue? All the best, Edward
  13. Hello, Great, thank you for confirming your software version. Yes, the file attached to your post is a debug file, file extension .zdb. Please send this to support@zero88.com with as much information on when the crash happened, and if you think anything may have caused it. Many thanks, Edward
  14. Hi Dave, The analogue 8 pin DIN connectors on the back of the console will control 6 channels, using a 0 to +10v signal. This information can be found on Page 35 of the manual, attached to the article below... http://support.zero88.com/975532281 I believe Strand ACT6 dimmers have the ability to switch between receiving a 0 to +10v signal or 0 to -10v signal, so ensure this is set to receive a positive voltage. You’ll then be able to connect the console and dimmer together, and have intensity control of the dimmer channels. Pulsar dimmers are usually wired differently, so I would recommend consulting your Pulsar dimmer’s Manual to determine the control pinout. Lightmaster consoles use the following Output pinout... Pins 1-6 are channels 1-6 Pin 7 supply voltage from the dimmer Pin 8 is Ground Hope this helps, if you have any queries let me know. Edward
  15. Hello, Sorry to hear this. I would recommend emailing us a copy of your show file to support@zero88.com. One of the team will be able to take a look, and see what may be causing the issue. By latest Solution software, I presume you mean ZerOS 7.9.4? All the best, Edward
  16. Hello, Software update instructions can be found in the release notes included with the software download... Simply download the software, and extract the software file to the root of a USB stick. Plug the USB stick into the console, tap SETUP -> Load File, and choose the software file application. The console will then perform the installation. Software updates will remove the current show file from the console, so make sure you’ve saved a copy to USB if you would like to load it back into the console afterwards. Hope this helps, Edward
  17. Hi Eric, Thank you for the information. If this happens again, please send a copy of your show file, along with a description of what seemed to cause the crash, to support@zero88.com, and one of the team will take a look and see if they can find the cause. All the best, Edward
  18. Hi Sebastian, Unfortunately the Park feature is not available on FLX S consoles. Edward
  19. Hi Eric, Really glad to hear it. Really sorry to hear this. When the console rebooted, was there a message presented asking to save a debug file? It sounded like the console completely froze. If this happens, power cycling is the only way of clearing the issue. Do you mean the internal or your external touchscreen? If external did you try re-calibrating? Please could you confirm the software on the console. To do this tap Z -> System Information, and let me know the Software Version, please check you are running 7.9.4. Did you have Capture connected to the console using CITP? Glad to hear it. The effects engine is something our software team are currently working on for the next software release. All the best, Edward
  20. Hello, A .cft file is basically the format of the Fat Frog's fixture library. Using the Common Fixture Manager, you can add in a maximum of 20 fixtures from the fixture library download (.ift), to create your own library, and then export to floppy disk as a .cft file. You can then also save .ift fixture files onto a floppy disk, extracted from the main library, in order to load extras in. After a clear to defaults however, these will be removed, leaving only the files contained in the .cft file. Hope this helps, Edward
  21. Hello, If you wish to use the Effects engine on your Sunstrips, I would recommend patching each individual lamp as a dimmer. You’ll therefore have 10 dimmer channels patched for each Sunstrip. This will allow you to select all of them together, apply an effect, offset it, and it will run across the lamps in the Sunstrip. You can then record groups on the console if you wish to control a Sunstrip as a single fixture. Hope this helps, if you have any queries let me know. Edward
  22. Hi Joe, Many thanks for the information. You are correct, if you roll back software versions, firmware versions will not necessarily automatically be rolled back. If you would like to roll back to ZerOS 7.9.3 with the older firmware, you will have to update the software from a USB stick formatted as a bootable drive. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the ZerOS 7.9.3 release notes, available with the software here... https://zero88.com/forum/files/file/1-zeros-793/ This information can be found in the "Consoles running ZerOS 7.8.2.39 or older" software update instructions. When you have formatted the USB drive, plug into the console, and switch it on, you will be taken to a screen with "Install ZerOS 7.9.3", or "Advanced", if you choose advanced, you will have the option to manually roll back the firmware. When you have done this and installed the software, it would be interesting to know if this solves this issue. If you have any questions, feel free to email me directly. Edward
  23. Hello, Interesting, I haven't seen a no warm time fogger before. Product page seems to say 180w... http://www.antari.com/index.php/web/Products_i/22 From a control point of view then, as long as the dimmer channel isn't dimmed, and is patched as a relay this should work, however I couldn't guarantee how happy the fogger would be receiving a "messy" AC sine wave, and how happy that dimmer would be "switching" a not entirely resistive load. To know how it would cope you would need to know the fogger's power factor, however this doesn't seem to be quoted in the manual. All the best, Edward
  24. Hi Petr, Yes a software update will be required. After installing the new software, I would recommend you leave plenty of time to get used to the console before a live show. ZerOS 7.8.1 is quite out of date, and so there are some quite big changes in the new software. These are detailed here... http://support.zero88.com/Legacy-products/Legacy-Consoles/Legacy-ZerOS/ORB-XF/988876801/Changes-to-operation-of-ORB-Series-consoles-within-ZerOS-7-9-2-and-later.htm There is also more information in the ZerOS 7.9.4 release notes, which are available along with the ZerOS 7.9.4 software download here... https://zero88.com/forum/files/file/17-zeros-794/ If you have any queries please do let us know. All the best, Edward
  25. Hi Tim, If you run an Effect with a "Fan V" offset across an even number of fixtures, the console will automatically know that the middle pair should do the same effect. To configure a Fan V fan mode, hold SETUP and tap the EFFECT button. Then hold SHIFT and choose "Fan V" from the options, release SHIFT, and click OK. Then select your fixtures, apply the effect you would like, and then hold SHIFT and dial the offset wheel. Hope this helps, Edward
