Hi Alex, No, it won’t. However if all the user fixture files are now included in this latest fixture library release, you can tap SETUP -> Clear Options -> Clear User Files, to ensure you don’t have duplicate library entries. It is worth mentioning a Factory Reset will leave this library installed, but remove all show data, settings, and user files. Hope this helps, Edward

Hello, When enabled, PhantomZerOS will talk to Capture on a 127.0.0.1 IP address, without the need for a PhantomZerOS unlock dongle. This IP address basically means that PhantomZerOS can communicate with another peice of software on the same PC. I believe that a Capture package will only be able to be installed on a single PC. I don’t believe they use USB unlock dongles. In theory though, if you were to buy multiple packages for multiple PCs, you would then be able to have an instance of PhantomZerOS running on each one. That’s correct, you could simply plug your PC and FLX S24 into a wireless router using standard Ethernet cabling, and then communicate to Capture on the PC and use the Remote app wirelessly. This also gives you the added benefit of using DHCP (automatic IP address assignment) on the router to configure all the devices without the need to worry adjusting IP addresses. This will give you a single universe of console control over Capture. FLX S24 consoles come in 1 or 2 universe variants. No problem at all, totally understand! If you have any queries let me know. Hello, Whilst we wait for any responses from users with their experiences, I’ll just provide a little information on the subject. Virtually all visualisation packages allow for either Art-Net or sACN (DMX over Ethernet protocols) input, and therefore work with consoles with this functionality. FLX S consoles support both Art-Net and sACN, however also support the CITP protocol. Capture visualisation software can be controlled by CITP, which allows for 2 way communication between the console and visualiser - this therefore allows you to create a look using the visualisation software without the console being connected, and then when you link the console, you can record this lighting state into a cue. It also allows for selecting multiple moving fixtures in Capture, right-clicking on stage where you want them to focus, and you can then record that as a position palette on the console. Another benefit of Capture, is it can be used on the same PC as PhantomZerOS, allowing you to program with visualisation without the need for a console or Unlock Dongle. Hi Nigel, Yes, to Record just the UV parameter onto a playback, it is exactly the same process as RGB, as noted in the article here... http://support.zero88.com/1014413041 All you’ll need to do, is ensure the Intensity and UV parameters are at full, and are the only parameters tagged (indicated by having a lighter blue encoder background, and a red intensity value in the output window). You’ll then be able to record this to a playback, ensuring SmartTag is disabled. Dont forget you can download PhantomZerOS onto a PC, so that you can practice this beforehand by emulating a FLX S. Hi Carsten, A Red Step On Effect means that by default, Red is at 50%, and Green and Blue flash on from 0%-100%. These levels can of course be adjusted by changing the colour parameter levels in the Colour attribute. Red Step off on the other hand, means that by default, Red is at 50%, and Green and Blue flash off from 100%-0%, again intensities of each colour can be adjusted. You can best see this happening by tapping Z/Shift -> System Information -> DMX Outputs for the fixture's RGB levels. Hope this helps, if you have any queries let me know. Edward

OK. When in Test Mode, Channel flash buttons 1 through to 14 select sets of faders and pots to test. Flash 1-8 = Channel Faders Flash 9-10 = Submasters Flash 11 = other pots Flash 13 = Wheels Flash 14 = Buttons. You can check the level reported by the fader on the internal LCD. Hi Kevin, I don't agree with that comment - lighting consoles are investments. In terms of list price, a 1 universe FLX S24 plus FLX S48 is around £700 more than FLX S24 plus WING. Therefore if budget allows for this, this solution would give you more flexibility. Granted this is still a large sum of money, which is why I said if you were in the position to do this, it would help future proof the system. Edward

Hello, I do understand where you’re coming from. However, if you are using a FLX S24 plus WING, this would take up more physical space than a FLX S48- it would also make more sense financially to go for the FLX S48, plus it has a Monitor Output for easier viewing of fader behaviour etc. Dont forget the show files are compatible, so if you were in the position to use an S48 for larger shows and an S24 for smaller shows, you could share showfiles for default patch etc if necessary. Hi Peter, Great glad to hear it. If SmartTag does cause you problems, don’t forget you can just disable it and program without it. The key thing to remember when disabling SmartTag is the console will only store programmer information into cues, not information coming from other cues. Any queries let me know. Edward

Hi Peter, I won’t get a chance to look at the show file this evening, however it sounds like you are trying to Update cue 46 with SmartTag enabled. As the fixtures are off in cue 46, any commands you try to update them with, including removing effects, will be ignored if SmartTag is enabled and the fixture is off. Therefore... ...then press and hold UPDATE, and choose SmartTag from the Update Options so that it is disabled, and then hit ENTER to complete the command (make sure this is a tracking update). You should then find the update is pulled into the cue. You can turn SmartTag back on again by pressing and holding RECORD/UPDATE, then tap SmartTag so it has a red stripe on it, and then hit RECORD to close the window. Hope this helps, Edward

Hi all, FLX S24 can control a maximum of 48 fixtures. This cannot be increased by software upgrades or adding WINGs- adding wings just avoids the need to work across multiple pages. Both consoles use the same powerful processor, so this limit is purely the number or faders and pages on the physical console. The same goes for the FLX S48- the maximum fixture count is 96. As the others have highlighted, both can have a maximum of 2 universes worth of channels to patch these fixtures onto. Hope this makes sense, if you have any queries let me know. Edward

Hello, The existing chaser effect should give you the strobe effect you’re after, if you increase the speed. More Auto Effect palettes such as Lightning Strobe will be coming in the next software update. If that cue is the only active cue on stage, double tap ENTER, and this will select all fixtures currently on stage, allowing you to adjust them. If you enter Blind mode by holding SHIFT and tap Z, you can hold the playback go button of your cue list, type your cue number, and then release the go button. This will load the cue into the blind programmer, for you to edit. You can then tap UPDATE to store the edits and exit Blind mode. Hope this helps Edward

Hi Ruud, Yes that's correct. When the playback fader is configured to Manual Fade, the fader movement is the only method of going into a cue. You can however choose which cue you would like to be next by highlighting it in the cue list window. When you next move the fader you will then go into this cue rather than the next subsequent cue. Hi Ruud, Currently, to retrigger a Manual 2-way Playback that has been manually released, you have to copy it to an empty playback, and you can then copy it back to the original fader. You will then be able to trigger and operate the playback as normal. This is a known issue we are working on. Any queries let me know. Edward

Hi Mac, The Phantom ZerOS Unlock dongle will unlock the number of universes of the console you choose from the Phantom Choose Desk drop down - for example if you choose an 8 Universe FLX this would allow 8 universes via the PC’s Ethernet port. Hope this helps, Edward

Hi Matthew, I have replied to your other post regarding keyboard shortcuts. The only other one to mention is that CTRL + Z on an external keyboard is the same as tapping Z/Shift on the console. This will change in the next software update, ZerOS 7.9.5, which will allow for the remote monitor to be viewing a different desktop to the console. The ZerOS Remote app for iPad will allow you to control Playbacks irrespective of the channel mode on the console. To do this connect to the console, and choose Playbacks from the page chooser drop down at the bottom of the app. To stop the VIEW button controlling the external monitor, and instead control the internal touchscreen, tap SETUP -> System Settings -> External Monitor -> Disabled.
